Would probably help if I put the radio on! I was thinking: "Why is it so quiet?" Duh. Lol

DJ GeorgyGirl:

Going to go and listen in the kitchen while I make a late, late dinner so no chatting from me :-)

Andy Kaufman was the master of Elvis impersonation

i think he got it for the song lyrics content wise

BC Sterrett:

Hello there. Great theme!

Rich in Washington:

I used to work with a guy many, many years ago who collected Chipmunk records and ephemera. He was really peculiar. He'd talk about Chipmunk records and trivia forever.
Avatar 7:28pm
BC Sterrett:

ha. I collect chipmunk ripoffs. Two big stacks of them in my basement. I've been wondering if I should do a show or two based on them. I feel like it would drive people bonkers
Avatar 7:30pm
spacebrother:

@ BC - YOU SHOULD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm
Aitch:

Always wondered where the Sparks album title Kimono My House came from....
Avatar 7:31pm
BC Sterrett:

One of those things always better in small doses, like Christian Puppet records.
Avatar 7:32pm
BC Sterrett:

I'll do it Spacebrother, because you said so! Good enough for me
Avatar 7:33pm
spacebrother:

I really like one-song or one theme shows. Usually.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm
Rich in Washington:

We don't know the meaning of the word 'drive people bonkers' in the jungle room.
Avatar 7:33pm
BC Sterrett:

Is it really pledge time?
Avatar 7:34pm
BC Sterrett:

Good point Rich
Avatar 7:34pm
spacebrother:

If I'm happy, i don't care much if people are going bonkers. i know who my friends are! :)
Avatar 7:36pm
BC Sterrett:

So was the sped up voice in Bird on My Head made with different technology than in Witch Doctor? Is this before or after?
Avatar 7:36pm
spacebrother:

Actually, I'm usually surprised at how many people are NOT annoyed by my shows.
Avatar 7:38pm
spacebrother:

I think the sped up voice was something he always did using the same method.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm
Rich in Washington:

The Chipmunks always make me think of Elwy and the Tree Weasels episode from the Ralph Bakshi Mighty Mouse series.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm
Rich in Washington:

They're like The Chipmunks but with a sadistic Murray Wilson type producer.
Avatar 7:40pm
spacebrother:

@ Rich - I almost forgot about that!
Avatar 7:40pm
BC Sterrett:

I think I have two copies of Mediocre on 45. Love this track
Avatar 7:43pm
spacebrother:

I wish I had one on 45!
Avatar 7:43pm
BC Sterrett:

Have there been other musicians who made a habit of adding commentary to their own music?
Avatar 7:44pm
spacebrother:

@ BC - That could be a whole show. Hmm.
Avatar 7:44pm
BC Sterrett:

I guess Stan Freeberg did it on a lot of his parodies
Avatar 7:46pm
spacebrother:

True!
  7:48pm
ARB:

International chipmunk ripoffs would be a great show too, and we can use the special chipmunk sound card for back announcing
  7:48pm
ARB:

Spacebrother Greg are you broadcasting from the Chipettes hot air balloon?
Avatar 7:49pm
spacebrother:

@ ARB - Good idea! Also, all Aliens on records sound like the Chipmunks, so that could be added.
Avatar 7:49pm
BC Sterrett:

My international chipmunks mainly come from France (maybe French Canadian?), South America, Italy, and I think I have one Chinese.
Avatar 7:50pm
BC Sterrett:

And the UK with things like Pinky and Perky
Avatar 7:51pm
spacebrother:

A ARB - Yes. It's a helum balloon. It's leaking.
Avatar 7:51pm
BC Sterrett:

The chipmunks could have just been called The Aliens and would still sound the same.
Avatar 7:51pm
ARB:

Have you watched the guaranteed to offend everybody mexican video of this?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55pm
Rich in Washington:

There's also a terrible French kid's record by Donald et Ronald called Cuac Cuac that uses sped up voices. It's wonderfully craptacular.
Avatar 7:56pm
spacebrother:

@ Rich - I have that one! Love it.
Avatar 7:56pm

Holy Cow ARB, just checked the link

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm

This is how they REALLY summon Mothera.
Avatar 7:58pm
ARB:

That was a fun show and I didn't even get into his disco duck and disco gorilla material
Avatar 7:58pm
spacebrother:

@ ARB - I've played the Eartha version. It's delicious.
Avatar 8:00pm
ARB:

She can't be wrong. Can you believe they cut her villain song from The Emperors New Groove, I never saw the film myself but I'm sure that was the best thing about it
