	2:18pm Rich in Washington: A friend in high school noted that cheap canned corn beef hash was virtually indistinguishable from canned dog food, so he switched labels and walked around the hallway eating from what looked like a dog food can. It freaked everybody out and was priceless.

	2:21pm solo mon: Rich amazing. I worked for a dominatrix for a little while, filming videos of her ya know doig that kind of stuff. One day she pulled out a can of dogfood and orders her sub to eat it. i was like "ok this is a classic" and all of a sudden shes turns to me and yells "cut!" and swaps the dog food out w chili. Then we resume the "scene". i still dont know what to think about it...

	2:24pm Otis: Hard to take a photo of when they are embossed with a phone camera. Did that a couple of times on Discogs where folks can see my form. Fantastic comps from Daptone, all killer no no no filler.

	2:28pm Otis: I'm the last person to ask, maybe Sond? I am a klutz with photos, for discogs I just lay the cover flat, daytime works good it seems and position the phone above and click. Crop after, but looks a lot better than most Discogs covers, but far from perfect.
	2:28pm solo mon: Whe ive had to shoot a flat reflective thing I use a big peice of white foam core and cut a hole right in the center just big enough for the camera lens.

	2:29pm Otis: Gotta say for fellow DJs... the new KenzoDB Queue is killin' it. Time to chat and breathe and load up full playlist bits (most pre-show, but about 25% today during show sourcing Discogs).
	2:29pm Martinibomb: FreeMusic/Touch Screen Tip-o the day u totally didn't ask for. MPCBeats is free/8ch version. I am playing around with it on my touch screen monitor and it works so much better at touch input than Ableton does. So this I can do 10 points of touch/turn knobs easy etc.. I wish Ableton worked like this

	2:31pm Otis: I still use my Novation Launchpad I picked up in 2009. 64 pads... use it every show for talkover, ids, themes. So simple.
	2:33pm Otis: Sold my Push though in 2018, but it was version 1. Might get v2 or wait for a 3rd in time if/when I make music again.
	2:34pm Martinibomb: using the mouse too much hurts my hand so.. I'm always trying to avoid it - touchscreen and a trackball are what I mostly use.

	2:37pm Rich in Washington: I have a big photo booth at work. I should try that peek-a-boo foam core idea, solo! Thanks! I've thought about bringing my more problematic LPs in and doing a record cover shoot on my lunch break.

	2:40pm solo mon: The other think that works well bringing record cover shine down is using a polarizing filer on the lens, it cuts down the dfference between the highlights so u can see more. Usually used for outdoors but good for minimizing reflections too.

	2:43pm solo mon: Yes sondy is right! Its worth it. I am better versed in what they call "continuous lighting" and dont know much abt flashes. I want to take some classes!

	2:44pm Otis: I don't have a touchscreen, but I have 5 monitors.
	2:44pm Otis: No apps on phone/tablet currently. Balancing my device time as I'm in front of this star cruiser a good 12 hours a day.

	2:46pm Sonderangebot: solo personally I prefer to take crappy street photography with film and a compact 35mm cam, but I remember in photo school we had an assignment to take photos of a piece of art like a painting or something. I wonder if these "portable studios" that you find for sale are any good for things like records.
	2:46pm Otis: Try to keep the balance here. Like leaving the house to shop and go places without the phone, unless I really need it.

	2:51pm solo mon: I LOVE studio photography especially table top stuff. So fun to have small area I can really control. Also I love working in table top because it is a notoriously boring genre, and i like to spice it uppppp.
	2:51pm Mr Fab: I remember buying the Three Tough Guys soundtrack, listening and “hey, its the song the Geto Boys sampled for Mind Playing Tricks On Me”! Always a bit if a shock in those pre-internet days to hear the source of a sample.

One day she pulled out a can of dogfood and orders her sub to eat it. i was like "ok this is a classic" and all of a sudden shes turns to me and yells "cut!" and swaps the dog food out w chili. Then we resume the "scene". i still dont know what to think about it...

	2:28pm Otis: I'm the last person to ask, maybe Sond? I am a klutz with photos, for discogs I just lay the cover flat, daytime works good it seems and position the phone above and click. Crop after, but looks a lot better than most Discogs covers, but far from perfect.

I am playing around with it on my touch screen monitor and it works so much better at touch input than Ableton does. So this I can do 10 points of touch/turn knobs easy etc.. I wish Ableton worked like this

	2:31pm Otis: I still use my Novation Launchpad I picked up in 2009. 64 pads... use it every show for talkover, ids, themes. So simple.
	2:33pm Otis: Sold my Push though in 2018, but it was version 1. Might get v2 or wait for a 3rd in time if/when I make music again.

	2:40pm solo mon: The other think that works well bringing record cover shine down is using a polarizing filer on the lens, it cuts down the dfference between the highlights so u can see more. Usually used for outdoors but good for minimizing reflections too.

I wonder if these "portable studios" that you find for sale are any good for things like records.
