	7:37am Todd-o-phonic Todd: I first heard about the attack 19 years ago on a New York sports radio station that is no longer broadcasting. And then I turned on the TV...I guess Channel 4 because Janice Huff called in and pointed out that it was a plane that had hit the building.

Doug, my man, I have had better weeks, that's for sure. Happy to be here with you all, though. I remember coming off the L train at Union Square and walking to work, which was by Gramercy Park. Someone said a plane had hit the WTC, and I, assuming like a Cesna, said, "Fucking tourists!" Sigh. Longtemps, longtemps.

Todd, I was actually en route to the Smithsonian museums in DC from Virginia when I saw an explosion coming from the Pentagon. Surreal day. Devastating. And now we're experiencing the pandemic and the horrrors of the COVID. When will it stop?
	7:42am Aric: My mom woke me up on 9/11 after the first plane hit and told me to watch because she needed to shower. I thought it was a small plane like that baseball player earlier (if anyone remembers that). I got to the TV right as the second one hit. Absolutely insane. My condolences to anyone and everybody who has lost friends, family, loved ones in the attack and the subsequent shit show that has become the "war on terror." Peace, friend!

	7:44am YETI BOB: I slept late on the morning of 9/11/01 and I raced to the office building in downtown Chicago where I was working at the time (on the 23rd floor). I had a 10-block walk to work, I raced in so as not to be too late. People were streaming out of the building when I got there. I tried to fight my way through the crowd, swimming upstream, until one of my coworkers saw me and stopped me - "Haven't you heard?" he said - "They got New York City, they got Washington, and Chicago is next!". No time for explanation of who "they" were or what "got" meant. Having grown up during the Cold War I was sure that the nuclear attack I had been brought up to expect had finally come. I don't think I've ever been so terrified in my life. I raced back home, turned on the news, and finally found out what really happened (and immediately called my relatives back East).

	7:48am deborah: I was home in Newark and heard Howard Stern begin what was really a historic broadcast. Switched to news radio but back to Ster. Called my then partner who was teaching at Essex County College who told me that I couldn't be right and that he will come home later. Fortunately, I didn't go into Jersey City that day. Hudson County Community College closed for a week then reopened. It was a lost semester with a lot of lost people.

	7:51am Be Now Homeboy: On the morning of 911 I woke up at 6am in Arizona with a plane ticket to NYC. I go down into lobby and everyone is watching the tower 1 hit we go back to our room and watch the second tower hit.. all planes are grounded, WE take the rental car and start driving from Arizona to Philadelphia... The night of 911 I stayed in Roswell New Mexico home of the aliens. IT was the most surreal night. Driving across America for the next week was also surreal. Slowly nationalism became a bit of a disease.

	7:53am Krys O.: I was at work in Roseland on 9/11. My ex called the office and told my boss that a plane just hit WTC. I couldn't take the call. After the 2nd plane hit, my ex reached me. He was having chest pains. Our internet went out and the boss let us out early. He drove me to the bus stop and the new radio was talking about the crash in PA. As the bus went down Bloomfield Avenue through Verona into Montclair, you could see the smoke from WTC. When I got home, my ex and I walked around the corner to the hilltop 10 miles from the site. We stood with others watching the smoke billowing out. It was agonizing. Found out later that my friend, the late WFMU dj, Terry TK Folger's mother died on Flight 93. Also learned that some of the terrorists took flight lessons at Essex County Airport very near to my job. I worked on Liberty Street next to WTC back around 1986. Rode the PATH from Newark and came in with the market crowd, but I went to work at a record store right next to the South Tower. I saw the facade of the Liberty Street building in the rubble on the news.

Sunday is our normal (now Zoom-based) gaming day. But next week in Maine! Boodz, I am certified trip leader in a local community org. that enables access to the water for NYC folx who otherwise would not get it, and that lets me keep a canoe in with the club boats.

Pull ups are good but a bit intense for a sore shoulder as are pushups. I think maybe if I do work with Bungee cords. resistance type work. GET WELL SOON BIKELIFE!

	8:56am Patolds1234: I watched 9-11 while hanging at my girlfriend’s apartment, solo, on Stanhope Street in Ridgewood, Queens, across from Linden Hill Cemetery - highest point in Queens (?). I remember cursing her that she didn’t have cable when all the channels went blank, except for channel 2. When I saw what happened, I realized that the other network antennas were probably on the trade centers, and the CBS antenna was on the Empire State Building. So I watched the TV and climbed to the roof of the two family house, going from roof to bedroom TV as everything unfold.

Someone said a plane had hit the WTC, and I, assuming like a Cesna, said, "Fucking tourists!" Sigh. Longtemps, longtemps.

	7:42am Aric: My mom woke me up on 9/11 after the first plane hit and told me to watch because she needed to shower. I thought it was a small plane like that baseball player earlier (if anyone remembers that). I got to the TV right as the second one hit. Absolutely insane. My condolences to anyone and everybody who has lost friends, family, loved ones in the attack and the subsequent shit show that has become the "war on terror." Peace, friend!

	7:44am YETI BOB: I slept late on the morning of 9/11/01 and I raced to the office building in downtown Chicago where I was working at the time (on the 23rd floor). I had a 10-block walk to work, I raced in so as not to be too late. People were streaming out of the building when I got there. I tried to fight my way through the crowd, swimming upstream, until one of my coworkers saw me and stopped me - "Haven't you heard?" he said - "They got New York City, they got Washington, and Chicago is next!". No time for explanation of who "they" were or what "got" meant. Having grown up during the Cold War I was sure that the nuclear attack I had been brought up to expect had finally come. I don't think I've ever been so terrified in my life. I raced back home, turned on the news, and finally found out what really happened (and immediately called my relatives back East).

	7:48am deborah: I was home in Newark and heard Howard Stern begin what was really a historic broadcast. Switched to news radio but back to Ster. Called my then partner who was teaching at Essex County College who told me that I couldn't be right and that he will come home later. Fortunately, I didn't go into Jersey City that day. Hudson County Community College closed for a week then reopened. It was a lost semester with a lot of lost people.

I go down into lobby and everyone is watching the tower 1 hit we go back to our room and watch the second tower hit.. all planes are grounded, WE take the rental car and start driving from Arizona to Philadelphia... The night of 911 I stayed in Roswell New Mexico home of the aliens. IT was the most surreal night. Driving across America for the next week was also surreal. Slowly nationalism became a bit of a disease.

	7:53am Krys O.: I was at work in Roseland on 9/11. My ex called the office and told my boss that a plane just hit WTC. I couldn't take the call. After the 2nd plane hit, my ex reached me. He was having chest pains. Our internet went out and the boss let us out early. He drove me to the bus stop and the new radio was talking about the crash in PA. As the bus went down Bloomfield Avenue through Verona into Montclair, you could see the smoke from WTC. When I got home, my ex and I walked around the corner to the hilltop 10 miles from the site. We stood with others watching the smoke billowing out. It was agonizing. Found out later that my friend, the late WFMU dj, Terry TK Folger's mother died on Flight 93. Also learned that some of the terrorists took flight lessons at Essex County Airport very near to my job. I worked on Liberty Street next to WTC back around 1986. Rode the PATH from Newark and came in with the market crowd, but I went to work at a record store right next to the South Tower. I saw the facade of the Liberty Street building in the rubble on the news.

	8:56am Patolds1234: I watched 9-11 while hanging at my girlfriend’s apartment, solo, on Stanhope Street in Ridgewood, Queens, across from Linden Hill Cemetery - highest point in Queens (?). I remember cursing her that she didn’t have cable when all the channels went blank, except for channel 2. When I saw what happened, I realized that the other network antennas were probably on the trade centers, and the CBS antenna was on the Empire State Building. So I watched the TV and climbed to the roof of the two family house, going from roof to bedroom TV as everything unfold.
