	9:52pm Stevel: Alley Cats, hitting opening chords in Madison, circa '83. : "Heeey. Our minds are pretty toasted tonight." (This was a believable statement.).. They were as sharp as any of their recordings.

No Bar was a basement, not much bigger than you'd find in a house, you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. The second time Big Black played there they set off a coil of firecrackers and it was almost as bad, and black gunk was coming out the nose for days later.

No Bar was a basement, not much bigger than you'd find in a house, you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. The second time Big Black played there they set off a coil of firecrackers and it was almost as bad, and black gunk was coming out the nose for days later.
