Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09am

Such a moody TV theme. Do TV themes matter anymore?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am

I am a sucker for electric piano.
  12:10am

YouTube comments sections occasionally have their positive moments. But yeah, TV shows realized at some time that they couldn't have 3 minute long theme songs anymore

TV themes definitely mattered back in the day haha. sup ppls!

Yeah, just read about stuff like that, BH. Syndicated shows are slightly sped up these days to shorten the runtime.

Even w/ Netflix series, a decent theme song can create an earworm that will associate the sound w/ the series (if it's good).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Then they mute the end theme and put the closing credits into a little box in the corner and play a commercial on top of everything.

I've never had to wait out a commercial to start listening on TuneIn. There's some other stations in the non-commercial realm where that's not the case on TuneIn.
  12:24am
$mall ¢hange:

there was this promo CD from a production company, gave all these examples of obnoxious high end commerical radio jingles etc. Brian put it in the new bin and ofc it was a wfmu 'hit'. it was pretty hilarious

Dunno slugluv, you've probably been to lots more cool shows than I have.
  1:33am
BH:

There's probably a ton of questionable local news that just sorta flies under the radar because it either won't be posted online or it's in like the 130th largest TV market in the country.
  1:34am

yup. Duane's uncle. pretty nuts! I almost always play some Derrick Harriot if I fill in for him haha

maybe Sinclair Broadcasting supercuts of a bunch of local news reading off one of their must-runs is as deep a dive as some get into local news outside of the huge markets

Regardless of which parties regain control in Syria - they need to invest hardcore in reforestation and general ecological engineering. The Arab Spring of 2011 was preceded by drought exacerbated by climate change and deforestation in that region.

Israel is only one portion of the equation. It's like Eisenhower warned, the Military Industrial Complex is the issue. It's probably simply using Israel as a beachhead to funnel weapons money into more wars. The Epstein/Maxwell cabal worked, most likely, for Israeli intelligence.
  2:25am
$mall ¢hange:

knocked out on fabrications? disappointing. and yup. def.

yeah Whitney Webb from Mint Press News has a really good series on Epstein/Maxwell. crazy shit. rarely mentioned in MSM, the spy side

that's where the billions go that we give them. weapons. its insane.

Brad M:

I am an anti-racist person of color and a longtime listener of this show, and I will no longer listen. Corbyn is an antisemite. BDS is antisemitic. You can criticize the Israeli govt. without attacking Israel's legitimate right to exist. If you care so much about human rights outside of the U.S., talk about the Uighur Muslims in concentration camps in China. Peace brother...over and out.

Basically it boils down to this. USA = Stolen land. Israel = Stolen land. So, any complaining by myself is really sort of meaningless. Hand In Hand schools in which Hebrew, Arabic, English are taught to children in the classroom might just be the answer, in my opinion. Peace can be made to grow and flourish. But first, people need to be able to extricate themselves from the cycle of violence and action/reaction mindset. Hand In Hand is one of the positive things I see happening there, as far as I can see.
