btw -- i think i FINALLY saw the Comet! not last Friday, but Friday before -- walking West, towards home -- saw a kinda off-white streak moving slowly North to South in the sun-setting evening sky

& yeah, i remember a DJ friend held an event in a film studio-type place in Brooklyn (i think it was called The Family?) -- deep reggae dub, roots music, etc. -- i think there was food too (from incredibly generous Rasta cooks, restaurants) . . . anyway, it was really really nice to be out with friends, like-minded people . . . and had just started volunteering with World Music Institute, so being at those shows was equally "healing"
