Toward sunset I tried to take the kayak out but failed to find a good launch point (was improvising, did not do research ahead of time) - it was hard to find a spot on the river where you can put in, so we wound up just sitting in Ping Tom Park and drinking our beers and watching boats turn around at the railroad bridge there - except the one time the bridge went up, which was probably the most exciting thing that happened all weekend...... today it's raining and cooling off a bit, my plants are all singing in gratitude (I can hear them if I listen hard enough)

Toward sunset I tried to take the kayak out but failed to find a good launch point (was improvising, did not do research ahead of time) - it was hard to find a spot on the river where you can put in, so we wound up just sitting in Ping Tom Park and drinking our beers and watching boats turn around at the railroad bridge there - except the one time the bridge went up, which was probably the most exciting thing that happened all weekend...... today it's raining and cooling off a bit, my plants are all singing in gratitude (I can hear them if I listen hard enough)
