When I was growing up, the rock radio station had a "Perfect Album Side" competition where you sent in a side's worth of songs on whatever you wanted that would go through the mails (they specified no car parts because people have little imagination). I won once when I wrote the songs in the driver license test manual. $50 gift coin for Turtles, the local predecessor to Tower Records!

My pal and partner, Double Dip Recess' Amanda, is really struggling with the ongoing after-effects of COVID. She's unable to work, had to take a radio hiatus, and has depleted her savings, paying for medical care.
If you're able to make a donation to help her pay for medical expenses, you can do so by sending a Paypal donation to donate@wfmu.org, or by making a Venmo donation to wfmuradio.org, OR write a check to WFMU and send it to the station: PO Box 2011, JC, NJ 07303-2011
Regardless of how you donate, please make a note that this is a donation for Amanda.
ANY amount is great.. No individual donation amounts will be given to Amanda - only the names of donors. If you wish to be anonymous, just say so.
Thank you so much. Spread the word!
