Hi Jason, Thibault, zmzm and MB. Just tuned in. It seems I'm hearing what is on the playlist. Sofar, so good?
Avatar 11:34am
Jason Elbogen:

Yes, Jan. I prerecorded last night, so should be smoother. Not that it could get any less smooth!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40am
Jan Turkenburg:

:-)

Jason Elbogen:

I wasn't sure if my mike was recording. But I guess it was...

Morning Jason, and Argonauts of the airwaves! No way it’s Friday already?
Avatar 12:10pm
Jason Elbogen:

Hey Mike. Sorry I didn't get back to you about the stream-interference thing. But yeah, that was me trying to get my setup to work. I thought I'd used the test stream... But either way i still had the dropouts and the program crashed.
So I prerecorded this last night.
Avatar 12:11pm
Jason Elbogen:

Looks like this is when my microphone wasn't recording them mike break. I had issues last night.
Avatar 12:12pm
Thibault:

it's either you without your bed music, or your bed music without you. you're always full of surprises Jason!
Avatar 12:13pm
Jason Elbogen:

Wow. I had a lot to say! What was it?
Avatar 12:13pm
Thibault:

reading your novel on the air?
Avatar 12:14pm
Thibault:

and we are missing that!
Avatar 12:14pm
Mr Fab:

The test stream was actually being used by others at the time. It was just confusing, I was like: I don’t remember adding these tracks to the stream? I don’t even know what this stuff is, but it was cool! You were playing some great school records n stuff.
  12:16pm
Martinibomb:

Hey Jason. I am curious. Did you record your show with MIXXX and no crashes? It only crashes when you broadcast, right?
Avatar 12:17pm
Jason Elbogen:

Eric, yes it did not crash when I pre-recorded last night.
Avatar 12:18pm
Jason Elbogen:

Thibualt--maybe I was so engrossed in reading (not out loud) my novel that I forgot to speak.
Avatar 12:19pm
Thibault:

I wish you read out loud next time
Avatar 12:22pm
Mr Fab:

WFMU’s next technological innovation: attracting electrodes to our DJs brains so they only have to THINK their announcements And you can hear them. I think Martinibomb’s working on it now!
  12:25pm
Martinibomb:

^I am indeed. I'm actually working on training an AI model on all f your writing @fab -- soon AI FAB will be born
  12:29pm
Martinibomb:

I'm glad mixxx will at least work as a player/recorder for you@Jason. So eventually you can stream via BUTT if we can figure out the internet issue... At the very least the crashing issue is solved. :-)
  12:34pm
zmzm:

i am enjoying it tho
Avatar 12:34pm
Jason Elbogen:

Yes, this is me talking over bed music but not being recorded....
Avatar 12:36pm
Linda Lee:

hi Jason! i don't mind it, frankly :-)
Avatar 12:37pm
Jason Elbogen:

But we missed some not-good jokes.
Avatar 12:38pm
Jason Elbogen:

Actually I'm not very jokey.
Avatar 12:39pm
Linda Lee:

Avatar 12:44pm
Mr Fab:

I’M in charge of the bad jokes around here!
  12:44pm
Martinibomb:

There is 1 hr to fill after Jason's show - archive or... mystery fill-in?
Avatar 12:45pm
Mr Fab:

Jason, you didn’t record 3 hours for today?
Avatar 12:46pm
Jason Elbogen:

Mike--No, just two hours. I was going to write you a message about this...
Avatar 12:46pm
Jason Elbogen:

I told Eric ahead of time though
  12:49pm
zmzm:

i don't mind replay for the first half tho
  12:51pm
Martinibomb:

^I could replay the first half of the show that's not a bad idea -- for those who missed it :-)
  12:52pm
zmzm:

  12:53pm
Martinibomb:

^A++
Avatar 12:54pm
Mr Fab:

Well, I did miss most of the first hour, so ok by me. Makes as much sense as anything around here
  12:56pm
Martinibomb:

I'm going to get on-air and announce that -- so any of the archive listeners understand..
