Did you know WFMU gave away a "vinyl killer" record-playing yellow mini-bus as a marathon premium. Probably 15 years ago. It came with lots of WFMU stickers with which to decorate it.
Good morning, Webhamster Henry! Really Lisa! holland oats!

Haven't been to the Catskills since family car trips in the early 70s! It was the place to escape to in summertime, from NJ anyway.

they invted John Cage to teach a class there, in the early 60s. he agreed on the condition that the class be about fungi. so they let him teach about fungi! that was the start of the New York Mycological Society. they had a blast traveling the tri state area, partying & hunting mushrooms.

Matthew Shipp contributed several guest columns on your wonderful destination:OUT blog, if I recall.
Doug Schulkind:
Can't wait for you to hear the new show! Your Boy Black Helmet Radio with DJ Black Helmet. Here is the description for his show:
"Your Boy Black Helmet journeys through genres, sometimes words, different continents and at best time spaces, focusing mostly on jams that are righteous and ready for wave surfing. The crates are bountiful and we all should partake in the eternal harvest."

The gif made me dizzy, so I've been listening at a safe distance (as with everything, nowadays). Great to hear another track about goats. As I've said before, goats are big deal in the world, no kidding (geddit?).
Doug Schulkind:
And here's another Matt Shipp guest column from 2013: destination-out.com...
Doug Schulkind:
GOAT = Greatest Of All Time
Stanley:
And tasty, too. I think I've eaten, almost, every part of a goat, on my travels.
