Candy, to continue last nights saga: That girlfriend was in a country western band up in the Sierras, I went up to visit and we went to hang with one of her band mates at his house. His wife said he was out in the garage, so we went and beat of the door and he came out with Sean Bonniwell, the singer from The Music Machine. Of course, I was over the moon, I told him I use to watch them on T.V. when I was kid. He paused for a moment and said "You know, I invented punk rock"(!?!)

Sans keys is a crucial sans, though. Keys was kind of the Zombies whole thing. That and Colin's amazing voice. I watched them on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies last year (I know, I know) and he sounded great. Dean (@6.14) the problem with that song title is it invites someone like me, if i were a dj, to say "and that song is called 'my favorite song', although it's definitely not my favorite song!"...unless of course it did turn out to be my favorite song.

I literally remember hearing "She's Not There" coming through the wall of my sister's bedroom (hers was right next to mine).
  6:34pm

So true, coelacanth∅. I think his ambition was, as we say these days, aspirational. And the premise was faulty: which DJ would play it at all? (But he is a really good songwriter. When we were roommates he auditioned for Sparks. Did not get the job, obviously.)

Yes midnight to six! Thanks Larry! great marathon! I also worn out the nuggets and pebbles comps in the 1980's. I didn't even know the Outsiders, before the early 1980's, when there was the garage rock revival, with the Lyres covering Touch.

Yeah, whoever put together those Nederbeat comps, like Flight To Lowlands Paradise deserves an award!

Love Bob Seger and the Last Heard. I only know a couple songs by them. Wish they would have done more than they did

Flight To Lowlands Paradise was a festival.. 2nd year in my hometown. I got the great poster for it on my wall. I was told nearly none of all the great acts billed where actually there.

Matt from New Orleans:

Bob Seger definitely liked Gloria Thanks Larry. Took me back to my Garage Rock days in the 90s when I bought tons of comps.

I haven't heard this version of Grounded before. There's quite a few bands that have covered it or at least the Lyres have and Woggles have Hounded, which is similar
