Gaffigan moved to New York in 1990 to pursue comedy, a move that was inspired by his admiration for fellow Hoosier David Letterman. He found a job in advertising, & he would work during the day and take acting classes at night. His career began in earnest when a friend from the class dared him to take a stand-up seminar that required a live set at the end. He fell in love with stand-up, and began to play comedy clubs nightly—after his evening acting classes—until the wee hours of the morning. He was often found sleeping on the job. His boss had to wake him up to fire him. | 2:45:04 (Pop-up) | |||||
The Rolling Stones | Carol | Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out - The Rolling Stones In Concert | London | 1970 | Chuck Berry's orig 7" A-side of "Carol" came out in 1958 on Chess Records / orig. version of the Rolling Stones cover of this track appeared on the Rolling Stones 1964 debut album, entitled "The Rolling Stones" in the UK & "England's Newest Hit Makers" in the US / Brian Jones founded The Rolling Stones. In 1962, Jones advertised for bandmates in "Jazz Weekly," while keyboardist Ian Stewart found them a practice space. Together they decided to form a band. Soon after, Mick Jagger, Dick Taylor and Keith Richards left their band, Blues Incorporated, to join Brian & Ian. The first rehearsal included guitarist Geoff Bradford and vocalist Brian Knight, both of whom decided not to join the band. They objected to playing the Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley songs preferred by Jagger and Richards. In June 1962 the addition of the drummer Tony Chapman completed the line-up of Jagger, Richards, Jones, Stewart and Taylor. According to Richards, Brian Jones named the band during a phone call to "Jazz News." When asked by a journalist for the band's name, Jones saw a Muddy Waters LP lying on the floor & one of the tracks was "Rollin' Stone" | 2:57:21 (Pop-up) |

What’s good on your planet
Dead night last night
The most action I got was from the State Police that left me with a homeless person as they split to the Bear Mountain bridge for a possible jumper.
Hey listeners if any of your friends ever ask for information on the Bear Mountain bridge make sure you go with them. It’s a known jumper bridge!!
Stanley:
It's so sad. I hope the police are trained to help the poor souls who end up there.

with me
this weekend.
They took long trips in cars
from all over the NorthEast
where they’re living now quite nicely
just to come back here
where they first started out
and spend some time
together
with me too.
Who’d a thunk they’d turn out to be so thoughtful?
