I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

No lie, on a well trod path, at the base of a waterfall, I looked down and there at my feet, glittering in the sun, was about an ounce and a half of gold flake.

yeah, that's amazing all the birds you listed !!!

we have maybe half dozen species of eagles here on the islands in the Andamans....amazing walking on beaches at sunset and watching them swoop down on snakes and monitor lizards and rodents (and etc)....

herons and egrets always confuse me...always mix them up.

the funk is here tonight!

Why is someone making assumptions about my tastes? And what bearing does it have upon how great Bryce's show is?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm
Ike:

@Krys@12:13, I once had a blender that couldn't handle the tahini. Too thick. I was gifted a food processor and since then it's never a problem. For best mixing, the trick is to mix up the garlic, oil, salt, etc. first and then add the chickpeas (preferably skinned). I forget when the tahini goes in, though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
Krys O.:

When did I call anyone a name? I made a general statement without referencing a person.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57pm

Ike, it probably was the skins. Thanks for your suggestion.
Avatar 1:57pm

I guess nobody knows but my name (real. name!) means "bird"

so it's good you all talk about birds

there is an early Peter greenaway about birds. VIOLENT UNKNOWN EVENT. most humans die and the remaining ones have their lives tied to some aspect of avian existence

I think the original is 4 hours long
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm
Ike:

Yes, they're a bit of a pain to clean, but less so than the blender (or at least, less so than the particular blender I was using) beause it's easier to reach inside, take everything apart, etc.

@NOK: very cool! Plenty of bird fiend FMU listeners; Trouble's French birdsound records as bed music is a continued pleasure of the station. I will check out that Peter Greenaway film. Your description reminds me of the part of Olaf Stapledon's "Last and First Men" where people evolve into bird-like creatures.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm
Phillippe Bastille:

@Ike @Egret I usually "process/blend" some water before taking them apart to remove some of the gunk. Made the mistake of adding a drop or two of dish soap once. Turned into an episode of I Love Lucy

Passaic:

it's great, as are all of his early shorts.

I can't recall the name but I think what I told you makes it easily searchable. previously a wild 3+hour version existed and at some point a series of shorts from it and then a DVD of a cut version...who knows what's there now. who cares. VUE. bird song and chirping and humans with tics mimicking birds and old men suddenly eating like chickens . wonderful.
