	12:08pm solo mon: Yes! Granny! I picked Cruddy up again last year. So intense and beautiful. What a story, what a point of view. It has really aged well. And gag worthy gore, written in a way I’ve never seen before!

	12:25pm joe: @Rich yeah Jello's spoken word albums were legit life changers for me. A friend of friends father gave us No More Cacoons when we were like 14 and nothing was the same again. As I got/get older I don't always see 100% eye to eye with Biafra but we absolutely play on the same field and I would rather hear from and have him influencing much more then others.

	12:30pm Mr Fab: Jello spoken word live was as exciting as a rock show. He came to my alma mater’s student union, also on the bill was Wanda Coleman and John Trubee.
	12:31pm joe: @Mr Fab I have to admit my iggnorence to Peter until the New Wave Theater started to appear on Night Flight channel. When I started to look back it was very disheartening to see some of the issues. I never dug very deep but I really should.
	12:32pm Rich in Washington: While sadly I've never been present for these happenings, my pal Toby has managed to drag Jello to KBOO studios on several occasions when he's in town to interview him and also record station IDs.
	12:33pm joe: We got to see Jello spoken word at City Gardens in Trenton about a year after being exposed to him. It was a really really heavy experience for us We were young The first time we had been in Trenton at a pretty volitile time there The Gulf War on the horizon. It was just really really intense. It's truly a moment I have not reflected on this much until I write this and realize how life impacting it was.
	12:33pm Rich in Washington: Toby used to live in SF and says he was at a table at the infamous Pere Ubu gig where everyone challenged Jello to put his money where his mouth is and run for mayor of San Francisco. They go way back.

	12:36pm Franco Twinkie: My brother-in-law told me that long ago his band was trying to get into this house that was locked so they could practice. One member of the band, who was notorious was with a young lady. As they worked on the challenge of breaking and entering, they wagered how long it would take the Lothario to work his magic. Ten minutes after they were inside, the swain and his companion were fucking under a table.

	12:37pm joe: I mean Jello and the Dead Kennedys were directly or indirectly responsible for putting me on such trajectories socially and musically. My love NOMEANSNO starts with JB and DK my interest in surf can be subconsciously traced bay to EB Ray the reason I even come to know Ministry (Lard) So much
	12:37pm solo mon: Yes living in SF a certain time and you hung around the scene you knew Jello. He hung out at a bar down the street from my apartment. People were challenging him all of the time, in fact it seemed to be somewhat of a past time for some of the young punks. I actually felt bad for him a lot of the time, as people were kind of rude to him often.

	12:42pm Rich in Washington: The last time Jello was on KBOO he was incredibly prickly and curmudgeonly live Don Rickles, but he was apparently being mobbed by people as he was just in town to shoot a segment on Portlandia.

	12:46pm joe: @Rich my understanding is that although Jello was never a guy you could have a casual conversation with after the Gilman attacked he kind of became pretty stand offish especially in enviroments that were not 100% his. I have heard the same thing you are saying many times over the last few years but I also know people who ran into him at the GWAR B Q and said he was very kind and approachable.

	12:48pm BC Sterrett: Dana Countryman told me that he once had lunch with Vale and Biafra and could hardly get a word in. He just sat and listened.
	12:48pm Rich in Washington: I think you're right. He went off on an articulate rant on why he won't let people run up to him and take selfies with him. He also recently said on one of his videos how when he attends demonstrations, he is approached by people who look nothing like activists who try to dare him to do illegal stuff, vandalism, and when he tells them 'no' they call him a pussy sellout, etc.

	12:49pm Rich in Washington: I would LOVE to interview Biafra. He's one of those dudes who just needs a single prompt and he just goes off. I get super nervous interviewing people, but I prefer those kinds of interviewees.
	12:49pm Otis: DJ'ed at show in SF in 2006 at god forget where... and while a few times previous was at parties/shows with Jello in attendance had not spoken to him. Had a nice smoke outside (back when I was still on the cigs) and he was utterly fantastic and super nice. Fun night with Dana Countryman and Jean-Jacques Perrey hosting by Vale & RE/Search. Few days later was meeting Fab in LA at the Knitting Factory. Good memories!

	12:37pm solo mon: Yes living in SF a certain time and you hung around the scene you knew Jello. He hung out at a bar down the street from my apartment. People were challenging him all of the time, in fact it seemed to be somewhat of a past time for some of the young punks. I actually felt bad for him a lot of the time, as people were kind of rude to him often.

	12:46pm joe: @Rich my understanding is that although Jello was never a guy you could have a casual conversation with after the Gilman attacked he kind of became pretty stand offish especially in enviroments that were not 100% his. I have heard the same thing you are saying many times over the last few years but I also know people who ran into him at the GWAR B Q and said he was very kind and approachable.

	12:48pm Rich in Washington: I think you're right. He went off on an articulate rant on why he won't let people run up to him and take selfies with him. He also recently said on one of his videos how when he attends demonstrations, he is approached by people who look nothing like activists who try to dare him to do illegal stuff, vandalism, and when he tells them 'no' they call him a pussy sellout, etc.

	12:49pm Rich in Washington: I would LOVE to interview Biafra. He's one of those dudes who just needs a single prompt and he just goes off. I get super nervous interviewing people, but I prefer those kinds of interviewees.
	12:49pm Otis: DJ'ed at show in SF in 2006 at god forget where... and while a few times previous was at parties/shows with Jello in attendance had not spoken to him. Had a nice smoke outside (back when I was still on the cigs) and he was utterly fantastic and super nice. Fun night with Dana Countryman and Jean-Jacques Perrey hosting by Vale & RE/Search. Few days later was meeting Fab in LA at the Knitting Factory. Good memories!
