Fog is fun if you don't have to drive thru it.

Doug Schulkind:
When driving through fog, always use your low beams. If that doesn't work, try closing your eyes.

i'm driving along the 4-lane highway, into the valley i hit a wall of fog. i suddenly at ~80mph couldn't see 3 car-lengths in front of me.
i decelerated and continued at maybe 20mph, starting to freak out that my girlfriend was about to be alone in a city, in a part of the world totally unfamiliar to her, until at least 2 am, which is how late i figured i'd be.
after driving around 10-15 minutes, a big tanker straight truck roared past me. i didn't even see it coming until it was nearly next to me.
i floored it, caught up and tailed it almost the whole way, ~70 mph. driver obviously knew the road very well.
so i was only a few minutes late.
Doug Schulkind:
I vaguely recall that. Must. Go. Back. And. Watch.
Again.
