The thing is there is definitely anti-Asian backlash that exists. And nobody wants to deal with that. Also, if your business has a special deal with the landlord — like you yourself own the building or they are nice and not charging rent for your storefront while closed — there is no reason to rush things.
Honestly, nobody is going to get the volume back to normal any time soon. And restaurants are all about volume.
