Jim the Poet did you hear the tribute to Tommy Uzzo?
Avatar 3:10am
Nick the Bard:

Fountains of Wayne was never that big of a deal to me (and I'm sure other people covered Adam well enough), and the other two are, eh, if I get to them, I get to them (I have other stuff schedualed right now, so, yeh)
  3:11am

Oh okay and happy May the 4th, Nick

So true Nick the Bard. Some of them close to me. One was an ex taxi boss another was an ex taxi employee of mine. The latter I gave him his last ride in a cab and that was to the hospital

  3:29am
TheHipMen:

Huh, I didn't know that the actress that play lt.Unhrigra sang some songs, I guess that makes four actors from Star Trek that can sing, Nimroy Shatner, Picard, and now Unhriga.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29am
Jim the Poet:

Do you prefer bearded Spock, goatee Spock or clean-shaven Spock
Avatar 3:30am
Nick the Bard:

Unhriga....O_o
  3:31am
TheHipMen:

I noticed the image for this show, and I see what you did there
  3:32am
TheHipMen:

And wow the actor that played Data can sing as well
Avatar 3:32am

One for Next Generation, one for the original series
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48am
Jim the Poet:

I think the one where Troi takes command also features Ensign Ro
Avatar 3:49am
Fox:

I often think about that bit at the end of Trekkies, when they have comedians telling Star Trek jokes at a convention, and there's a comedian... Olberton? something like that? And he's talking about if He was going through puberty on the Enterprise like Wesley was... and the punchline is "This IS Counselor Troi!" and I fall over laughing from the inside of my head when I think about that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50am
Jim the Poet:

Oh I loved Space 1999! The guns were cool staple guns
Avatar 3:50am

Avatar 4:08am
Nick the Bard:

I mean, i still have todo a whole massive Doctor Who binge watch though too :/
Avatar 4:10am
Fox:

I stopped watching Doctor Who before the chick even started.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12am
Jim the Poet:

NOW THERE'S TWO LADY DOCTORS
Avatar 4:14am
Fox:

Shhhhh don't tell me anything!
  4:14am
TheHipMen:

And the show's lore was completely ruined in one episode, which a lot of the fans didn't like
Avatar 4:15am
Nick the Bard:

I've barely watched any of it, and the most I've seen of the "original" series is the Dapol figure of Sylvester McCoy
Avatar 4:15am
Fox:

You got Dapol figures?!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15am
Jim the Poet:

I love Sylvester McCoy!
Avatar 4:16am

I used to have this record!

TheHipMen:

Is this from the game show Password?
  4:53am

It's James Doohan and Michael Dorn as the celebrity guests
  4:54am
TheHipMen:

Oh okay
Avatar 4:57am
Fox:

This is AMAZING!!
Avatar 4:57am
Fox:

I wasn't at the keyboard, and it is recognizably Brent Spiner's voice.
Avatar 4:59am
Nick the Bard:

There's actually a LOT of people on Trek than actually can sing, and there's one in the next set that's really surprising
Avatar 5:08am

First name Orville Snorkel
Avatar 5:09am
Nick the Bard:

FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARUS!!! A WINRAR IS YOU!!!
  5:11am
TheHipMen:

Huh, I didn't know that golden age actor James Darren appeared on a Star Trek show
Avatar 5:17am
Nick the Bard:

He had one of the major secondary characters on Deep Space Nine in the later episodes
  5:18am
TheHipMen:

Actually the artist for that Kesha parody is Dutch Tape Ball, Deena Roth, which is spelled wrong by the way, just wrote and did vocals for this song, and is from bandcamp.ducttapeball.bandcamp.com...
Avatar 5:20am
Nick the Bard:

yeh, i know, except looking at the link for duck tape ball's website, it's listed as "DTBMedia", and doesn't work either, so, i'm sticking with what i said with it :P
Avatar 5:22am
tw2sheds:

Ol' Yellow Eyes could have been Spiner's character from Night Court, too! He was kind of sickly looking....
Avatar 5:33am
Shea:

I'm just going to assume I haven't woken up yet. This can't be real.
Avatar 5:34am
Fox:

This is TUVOK?! I was guessing this was Jonathan Frakes.
Avatar 5:36am
Nick the Bard:

Tim Russ has a few albums, and like, two different bands even
Avatar 5:38am
Nick the Bard:

And what's not real about this?
Avatar 5:47am
Shea:

I am taken aback by the fact that Tim Russ is a professional singer that has released four pop albums.
Avatar 5:47am
Fox:

I think there's so many musicians in Star Trek because it's mostly staffed with theater actors, and theater actors are usually also into music or dance as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49am
Jim the Poet:

great show nick!
Avatar 5:50am
Nick the Bard:

I REALLY wanted to include two others, but Chase Masterson's (Leeta the dabo girl) stuff isn't really readily available digitally, and Grace Lee Whitney's (Janice Rand) isn't even anywhere (well, aside from one song)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51am
Ken From Hyde Park:

No "May the Fourth be with you" comments yet? Surprising.
Avatar 5:53am
Shea:

Ken I didn't even realise.
Avatar 5:54am
Nick the Bard:

We covered that on the first mic break ;P
Avatar 5:56am
tw2sheds:

Gene Roddenberry wrote lyrics for the theme song. Did he get money every time the instrumental was played?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Nick. Live long and prosper, y'all!
Avatar 5:59am
Nick the Bard:

I THINK he did? I seem to remember that getting brought up a couple times over the years on the station as an example of how music publishing rights work
  5:59am
Zetti:

Thanks
  5:59am
TheHipMen:

Thanks for the show, Nick!
