By the way , Sheila, you should also check out Melville's Deux hommes dans Manhattan, with a fantastic jazz score by Christian Chevalier. I waste way too much time when I'm in Paris looking for that soundtrack.

FINALLY finished the wonderful book I had been reading on a Danish expedition to Yemen in the 1760s. So good.
But no, no impulse toward pandemic fiction.

Sheila, about once every 10 mins., Kate says, "Tell Sheila how much I love this! Tell Sheila how much I love *her*!"
This one notice might have to suffice for the entire program -- but there's love!
@People Like Us, Kelly Jones: cheers!

* I tried stuffing them once, and decided it was just a very labor-intensive way to make a greasy, inedible artichoke.
* I did dice & sautee a couple to make Lidia's artichoke carbonara - that worked well, but I threw out like 75% by weight
* So for now I'm back to just boiling them - easy, you get to eat most of it.
