There's a story about Burnette, it's from a Bear Family Rocks booklet, so questionable, but he was a scrapper and got in a fight with one of his bandmates in an elevator, fought all the way down until they spilled out past Roy Orbison who was waiting to go up.

I've run into this before, calling people who like to fight scrappy is pretty common here, maybe not elsewhere.

I would probably call them gleaners (probably not common) or scavengers.

Guy who lived next door to me for some time used spend hour burning the coating off wires for the copper, what I called him was less kind.

I also once saw him attempt to trim bushes with a lawnmower. He was an idiot.
