	1:06am coelacanth∅: more than once someone has said "you just haven't had good risotto" and at some point presented me with "good risotto". nope. ... pointless mush. no flavor except whatever nastiness you smother it with...cheese i guess it is. zero texture. what a waste of rice.

	1:09am chresti: I've had mushroom risotto that was tasty, but yeah, make the same damn thing with rice and tons of cheese.
	1:10am coelacanth∅: quinoa i do eat occasionally, despite what i say. it is extremely nutritious. not much protein but all the nutrients it has are very easily absorbed, because it's a fruit -not a grain; so it's as easily digested as a fruit. which also makes it excellent for people with digestive problems or allergies. ...amaranth i don't bother with!
	1:12am coelacanth∅: i used to mix amaranth with my rice, since it kinda sucks on it's own...but then i decided to stop wrecking my delicious rice.
	1:12am Franco Twinkie: I had a girlfriend who was a fantastic cook....for other people. She liked all sorts of unsuitable and peculiar things to eat. Amaranth been one that I remember.
	1:17am coelacanth∅: people prepare it like a breakfast cereal -like wheatena. maybe that's okay. you can also pop amaranth like popcorn. it's kind of cool -millions of tiny (~1/8") puffs but you can't eat it like popcorn.
