Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40pm

  10:41pm
JakeGould:

The thing about Ted Knight’s performance in that is he was genuinely pissed off. The film was originally not what it became — which was an improvised comedy classic — and he was sticking to the script. Hated Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield because they went with the flow. Worth watching.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46pm
Uncle Michael:

joeray, my living room system is a Logitech Transporter and a Rogue Chronus Magnum and some bespoke speakers.
  10:48pm

Dangerfield couldn’t deliver his lines without an audience, and it delayed filming. They finally gave him an entourage who would laugh at his jokes.

@mariano: Do you know how there is this other, morning cookie cutter plot with Chevy Chase and Ted Knight and then there is the other stuff? That was originally the full plot of the movie. But between Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield improvising stuff, they shifted focus for the film to be centered on them. The main plot in the script became the subplot and then stuff like this happened: youtu.be...

Joining in late - looks like a great show. Will need to listen to the archives for the bulk of the show. Looking forward to hearing the Endless Boogie track which will probably lead me on a chase of a copy on physical media.

that stones track was the perfect follow to ernie graham. both had a similar feel.

Lenovo Laptop, WFMU stream through iTunes 11 (never updated to the newer shite version), Toshiba Bluetooth Stack converter, GoGroove's BLUEGATE audio receiver velcroed to the left outer cup of my
Audio-Technica ATH-M50 headphones. How I usually listen when late and/or around others. Sounds pretty full and sweet as all get out! Great stereo...

@opurt...not sure about now, but a few of the Endless Boogie albums on vinyl were suspiciously cheap for a stretch. I took advantage!

@Mr.Pumpy, it looks like the Basement Jam Ritual is a limited CDR release, so I may have to settle for digital. I had the pleasure of seeing Endless Boogie in fall of 2018 at the Henry Miller Library with Trad Gras Stenar. Looking forward to having shows there again!
