Anyone remember the film version of Nevil Shute's ON THE BEACH?: Submarine crew out-sailing the advance a globe-enveloping cloud of radioactive fallout, eventually reaching Australia (I think), having followed a lone radio signal in the search for anyone left alive, only to discover (upon risking a recon landing) that the MORSE signal they've been tracking is being caused by a Coke bottle attached to a roller-blind in the wind which is triggering a telegraph key, and there's nobody there. @Chris-in-space, yes, positive news plus suspicious news. According to the CDC's data thru Monday, the epidemic peaked nationally on March 11. So Tuesday they changed their measuring stick, but it still looked like it might've peaked March 13. So then yesterday they stopped updating the incidence data. Are they afraid things will look too good?

Apparently Joseph Haggar was a Lebanese immigrant. As I recall, Sammy Hagar is also of Lebanese descent. But now I read that it's a myth, though according to Sammy, the Lebanese-American community has gone out of its way to adopt him. Kind of like Italian-Americans with James Caan: when he was honored with an Italian-American of the Year award and he explained to the group that he is in fact Jewish, they wouldn't take no for an answer. He's Santino, and that's all there is to it!

This is nice, but with no playlist how does one learn who it is?
Hope Pseu is doing alright wherever she is.

Must go out - rather want to go out.. at 8pm in Madrid(2000CET) people clap and make music .. to say thanks to Frontline Covid workers: Nurses, Docs, FF, Police, shops that sell food, etc.. Not far from me .. A person plays a grand Piano in the window and a family of 4 runs a sound system for about 30minutes... group happiness with a lot of distance..

@Jake Thanks! I heard her mention Avedon's passing and all I could think was "Again?!" before being reminded of the hyper-isolated world we now inhabit.
Hope all are safe and healthy!

@queems...I feel ya. Pinback are amazing. they just get inside you and run with it. Rob Crow is such a great guitarist, singer, and writer. I dig a lot of his projects, but Pinback takes it.

@queems, I agree. It's one of those bands...and there aren't many, per capita. I may go sniff out Blue Screen Life on vinyl. I never see it for much below a hundred buck though. Panic buying Pinback records!
