Hey Joe, everyone... Broadcasting from home, you in the studio, or is this an archive?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm Handy Haversack:

Hiya, Joe, Past Joe, Montebanks, and all the rekkuhdd-buying public!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm David (in London):

Avatar 12:03pm Joe B:

sorry, an archive, from Oct 1, 2018. have no home gear and obviously can't go to the station
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Handy Haversack:

I thought two apple slices were one apple slice and poorly distributed the peanut butter -- damn this world!!

(I think Joe McG said this was an archive show.)
  12:04pm JakeGould:

Hey Joe! Good to see you here anyway.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm David (in London):

Handy, I have permission from HMG to send an emergency sandwich team to help you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm Woo:

It's new to me.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Artie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Handy Haversack:

  12:06pm Jeff Formerly from Rahway:

I have some cassette recordings of mid-90s WFMU shows if this pandemic drags on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm osvi:

Working from home means WFMU is on 24/7! Keep those beats coming, Joe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08pm David (in London):

Handy, they are fully equipped with a cold box of the complete range - big chunk, small chunk, chill, beetroot. Have no fear, your sandwich is their priority.
Avatar 12:08pm Owlex:

all the tapes are lost or gone now though
Avatar 12:10pm Owlex:

i miss liz
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Handy Haversack:

Almost as good, David: just had an intense sense memory of an Orkney cheddar and homemade pickled onion sandwich I had in Callander in ... 2015, I think. Very satisfying!
  12:11pm Danny now in Poughkeepsie:

I miss Bronwyn C
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm Stevel:

Great archive show, love the Big Heads! Greetings everyone from CA!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm mariano:

No sorries, Joe, and thanks for being on the Accu - best thing any of us can do is stay in place till the medical community has a better handle on things, so you're doing the right thing. And your archives rawk!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Threemoons:

Greetings...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm David (in London):

Old Joe B - Surely someone must have written an Appalachian folk song about him?
  12:15pm Micheal:

Dramarama - underrated underdogs - thanks for the rock and roll.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm Handy Haversack:

Yeah, this sounds great already, Joe! And 2018 was before I decided to stand up for my sanity and just leave WFMU on at work all day!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm mariano:

Oooold man Belock, he just keeps rockin'...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Handy Haversack:

(This one got a "who is THIS?" from Kate as she works out a few feet away!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm steveo:

Hey Joe B. I wish there could be baseball. Isn't there an island with 20 baseball stadiums where the teams could all go live and play for a while?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm full metal monkey:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks for joining on the board Joe and Thanks to Scott or whomever is doing the playlist at the station.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm Handy Haversack:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm steveo:

Avatar 12:23pm Joe B:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm coelacanth∅:

you're filling in the playlist from home?
i thought there were playlist faeries at the station for that
  12:23pm John from Florham park:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm Phillippe Bastille:

@Handy @Steveo Wondering if MLB will go the route of NASCAR and broadcast a few computer games for our entertainment. The NASCAR thing went swimmingly -- a lot of fun for the serious fan and a good opportunity to pull in the curious. Was the top-trending topic on Twitter at one point yesterday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm Phillippe Bastille:

Hey JFFP
  12:32pm McGroovey:

The b-side of Cara is great, also, "Go It Alone".
Avatar 12:33pm βrian:

Looks like we'll be getting our 'stay at home' order today, here in WI.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm Handy Haversack:

I am also hoping the ghost of Giancarlo Stanton takes this delay as a chance to recorporealize, @Phillippe!

I notice a lot of radio silence from my softball league ...
Avatar 12:34pm Joe B:

McGroovey, yes great point!
  12:35pm battleaxe:

@Phillippe MLB has released a bunch of classic games from years past on it's YouTube channel
Avatar 12:35pm Lewis:

@ßrian - yup - I am teaching on campus and am already sequestered. At least the lake is open...
Avatar 12:35pm Joe B:

I watched Game 1 of the 74 world series on youtube last night. great stuff
Avatar 12:36pm Joe B:

hey VP, hope you are hanging in
  12:36pm battleaxe:

No spoilers now Joe!!!!
Avatar 12:36pm Lewis:

well of course I am NOT teaching on campus. I am learning all sorts of things that have nothing to do with course content and adapting to an asynchronous pedagogy...

  12:38pm battleaxe:

Avatar 12:39pm Joe B:

Dusty wasn't there yet. he was on the 77 and 78 teams that played the Yankees though
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm David (in London):

Is this an homage to Matt Warwick?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm ParUbi:

I listened to WFMS with a growing sense of panic and disorientation until I realized my "smart speaker" misheard WFMU.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm steveo:

oh there's old games on youtube? cool will have to look some up
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Crudbringer:

Hey Suzy! My daughter quit derby, I'm a heartbroken derby dad...
Avatar 12:40pm Joe B:

David, it is now!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm Handy Haversack:

Gotta do some tech finagling so Kate can do a video meeting. I *should* be able to jump back on in a few ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm steveo:

@parubi country music is changing
  12:42pm battleaxe:

It's great to see those old locker room celebrations where the player are actually drinking Bud out of a can as opposed to spraying Champagne everywhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm ParUbi:

@Steveo-- I heard the song, "I don't want to be a one man band" which wasn't terrible.
  12:45pm Mark in Toronto:

Joe, you are killing it today (no, back then). How about last week the oldest show you can dig up, just to hear the difference (between then and now?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm steveo:

i'm not sure which one that was; i'm glad you're reoriented, though
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm mariano:

Be interesting to compile songs about famous women in history. There's Ann Boleyn, then, let's see... Television's Venus de Milo, John Cale's Helen of Troy. Anyone know any others?
  12:46pm Mark in Toronto:

Wait I mean next week.
Avatar 12:46pm Joe B:

Thanks Mark. good idea
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Phillippe Bastille:

Avatar 12:49pm Joe B:

@mariano leonard cohen - joan of arc
  12:49pm PJ:

@mariano: There are probably dozens of songs about Margaret Thatcher.

Off the top of my head, Laughner's "Sylvia Plath", Nick Lowe's "Marie Provost", Stones' "Claudine", and a gazillion songs that reference Marilyn Monroe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm Handy Haversack:

Hey, that's my dad's bday, too, Joe!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm Woo:

In Rocktober we'll look back at this and...well, we'll look back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm mariano:

Damn, @ParUbi, @PJ, @Joe, and @David, bringin' your A-game! I just thought "Her Majesty" (not sure though) and "Betty Davis Eyes" though I don't know if it counts because it's only her eyes. True about Thatcher: Elvis Costello's "Tramp the Dirt Down", probably a few by the Exploited. Ooh: Sun City Girls' "Nancy Reagan".
Avatar 12:54pm Joe B:

english beat - stand down margaret
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Handy Haversack:

"Mother Knows Best," by Richard Thompson is also about Thatcher.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm David (in London):

Morrisey's 'Margaret on the Guillotine' too. She was a goddamn one-woman hit factory.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Handy Haversack:

Kate's band has a song about Scaith, the legendary war queen of Skye who taught Cuchulainn the arts of war -- and love! We have been to her castle (well, vitrified fort).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Handy Haversack:

Aluminum Group has "Tess D'Urbervilles," if we take a looser definition of history.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm David (in London):

Handy, 'Vitrified Fort'. Name of my new band etc etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Handy Haversack:

The fort is called Dun Scaith -- also the name of our blue canoe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm mariano:

As always, in awe of the AccuHiveMind - are we in fact the AccuBorg?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm Handy Haversack:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm mariano:

Hell yeah, @Handy - Alice Krige! Had such a crush on her in Ghost Story. Well, except for the parts where she'd become a mouldering corpse to scare someone to death.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm David (in London):

I'm happy to create a love song to Alice Krige, Handy. That wouldn't be difficult...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm listener 126464:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Handy Haversack:

The Pogues, "Lorelei"? She MIGHT have been real!

Apparently, I'm stronger in fiction and folklore than in history this morning.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm mariano:

@DIL - I wish I were only *slightly* out of condition ;). We might have to swallow our pride and duel through Tekken or Mortal Kombat. Or wait, @Handy's right; we're nothing to her, just a couple of brain cells basically. Pfft.
Avatar 1:12pm Joe B:

thanks peter
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm Handy Haversack:

@October Joe: this set! Daaaaaaaamn! Sounds great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm David (in London):

mariano - You know what? We're pals now, so I'm not going to let any creepily attractive, replaceable head Borg Queen come between us. I will stand aside.
  1:14pm mrmikestandsir:

wow! I never knew there was a Prisoner themed song. Great quotes from the theme song. Be seeing you...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm mariano:

Wow, that's magnanimous, @DIL! I too relinquish my claim, let Capt Picard have her.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm Spankyflop:

Being stuck with archives isn't bad, maybe a good time to revisit some of the great live sessions.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Handy Haversack:

First line of the manuscript I just started editing: "It is hard to find a basis for hope in the world today."

I mean, yeah, it is ... but maybe bury the lede a little!
Avatar 1:16pm Joe B:

thanks Handy;
Avatar 1:17pm Joe B:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm mariano:

For real @Handy. No need for them to rub it in!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Handy Haversack:

Damn, that song was so good.
Avatar 1:20pm Joe B:

if you're just joining us this is an archived show from 2018, so none of this stuff I am yammering about is happening.

Ouch, Hank's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Handy Haversack:

Is this an old show? What was the date?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm coelacanth∅:

yes what a week!
  1:26pm sim:

What a week (whew!).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm Spankyflop:

I guess the 2020 record fair is a no go, huh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm Handy Haversack:

10/1/18, I think, @Andy. Terrified to look back and see what lame things I ended up doing that week. But I guess these underwear weren't going to get drunk and pass out in themselves!
  1:28pm Andy:

Aha! Got it. Thank you! “if you're just joining us this is an archived show from 2018, so none of this stuff I am yammering about is happening.”
Avatar 1:28pm Joe B:

the record fair has been cancelled unfortunately
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm mariano:

Careful @DIL - there were some bugs with the time-traveling microwave (don't know if NBC will play in the UK, if not, sorry): www.nbc.com...
Avatar 1:29pm Gold Pants:

That event listing made me long for how things used to be....it was a simpler time! Sigh
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm coelacanth∅:

(sounds like "she's got you" by Patsy Cline)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm coelacanth∅:

(...i wonder if anyone said that a year and a half ago)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm David (in London):

mariano - Ha ha! Thanks for the concern though mate, but I don't think I'll fall foul of any of those things. Davina (in Lubeck)
  1:37pm ruth:

Hey there! It's ruth from Ridgewood Radio on the Drummer Stream just thought I'd pop in and swim with the dolphins over here.
  1:38pm listener monica:

!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm coelacanth∅:

hey ruth!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm Handy Haversack:

You *sure* this song was chosen in 2018, Joe?
  1:38pm Binky:

Lol nothing was delivered
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm mariano:

Lol - Davina for the win!
  1:39pm ruth:

Hiya Coel!
Avatar 1:39pm Joe B:

sadly appropriate
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm steveo:

  1:40pm Listener marianne:

Hi Joe, and all ! Great show, great Byrds!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm doctorjazz:

Hi all.
  1:42pm egould310:

Yeah for the Byrds. Good show, Joe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44pm steveo:

each time i hear this set, i click a few more stars :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44pm ackthpfft:

Great Stamey tune. Missed this one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm David (in London):

That light background fiddle always gets me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm coelacanth∅:

hey dr.j
Avatar 1:45pm Mister Dobalina:

Cool track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm coelacanth∅:

(i agree with them^)
  1:47pm egould310:

This show is from 10/1/18? I know I was listening live to that show. I severely strained my hamstring on my morning run that day, and had to limp/hop home. Then, I had to drive to a client in Riverside, CA. My leg hurt so bad, I wanted to curl up on the floor of their office and cry. And I couldn’t get a cup of coffee anywhere in Riverside, so that sucked too.
  1:48pm Cubicle Carl:

Three Chord Twangy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm Handy Haversack:

Another dynamite set.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm ackthpfft:

Finest kind of twangy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm steveo:

(in fact, the stars are a good way to find out when a show originally aired, now that i think about it)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm coelacanth∅:

8 twang monte
Avatar 1:51pm Mister Dobalina:

(comedy^)
  1:51pm Cubicle Carl:

Heartache in Hell is my favorite track of the set so far.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm Mr. Pumpy:

This autotune is freaking me out
  1:52pm ruth:

Hey Dr. J!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm David (in London):

Howdy Mr Pumpy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm chris_in_space:

If I had to pick one Neil Young tune, it's "Albuquerque"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm Mr. Pumpy:

Nice...just tuned in and Neil is bringing the house down. Hello Everybody!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm steveo:

pete is overenthusiastic again, though
Avatar 1:54pm Gold Pants:

No one says “roll a number” anymore
Avatar 1:54pm Joe B:

egould, sorry to bring back the painful memories
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm coelacanth∅:

i couldn't pick one Neil Young song. i'd have a tough time picking 20.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Handy Haversack:

Hey, Mr. P!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm steveo:

when i grow up i want to be able to edit my own board posts haha
  1:57pm listener monica:

you know who monica's real favorite band is?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm Mr. Pumpy:

Handy, David...howdy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm coelacanth∅:

sorry, i love this song but not this version!
Avatar 👻 1:59pm acid casualty:

Another sadly apprapo song.
  1:59pm Cubicle Carl:

@ Mr. Pumpy re:autotune - yes I heard that. Wasn’t sure if it was autotune or just a digital artifact of my connection.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm Mr. Pumpy:

@Carl...I don't know, but I didn't hear it affecting anything but the voice. I only caught the tail end of the song, so maybe it was done for effect at one point. It was a bit jarring for my taste...life goes on!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm coelacanth∅:

i agree Mr.P. i heard that song from the kitchen and really liked it but then came in here and after a minute that sounded terrible.
the shame is i'd bet her real voice is great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm mariano:

Hey Mr. Pumpy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm coelacanth∅:

monica you know i want to say sock monkeys!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Woo:

Some tasty guitar on this. Tasty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm mariano:

There was a Jefferson Airplane documentary on Netflix some years ago where they played an amazing live version of High Flying Bird, amazing vocal chemistry between Grace and Marty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Mr. Pumpy:

Yo...mariano!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm Mr. Pumpy:

@coel...I concur...and sometimes conquer!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm steveo:

#12 hit that Runaway
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm Handy Haversack:

Did I mention on this board that Jorma Kaukonen is my cousin?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm jillydg:

Hi Joe! That Jefferson Airplane hit the spot... You're prescient.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm mariano:

No way, @Handy - that's frickin' awesome!
Avatar 👻 2:08pm acid casualty:

@hh. Did he teach u any licks?
  2:08pm Paul D:

Hey guys thanks for DJing during this time!
Avatar 2:09pm Joe B:

Handy that is great! do you know him?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm coelacanth∅:

Judy Henkse did the definitive version.
...the only good version i've ever heard. (out of maybe 6)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm mariano:

Speaking of the fortunes of Jefferson-affiliated singers, I saw a clip of them live from 2012 and Mickey Thomas was still belting out "Jane" like in the old days, same key, hitting all the high notes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm Handy Haversack:

Came up on another board recently, @mariano. I have never actually met him, though my sisters met him several times. I was in good touch with his brother for quite a while, though less so lately. Their mom and my dad were really close when they were young -- her parents took in my dad for a while when he was orphaned.

But no, I don't really know him. I should reach out again.

@acid casualty: teaching me licks would be a waste of any talent's time!
Avatar 2:11pm Joe B:

re high flying bird - i like the Crazy Horse version from 2012
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm Phillippe Bastille:

@Handy off topic, but first snowy egret of the season (that I saw) just splashed down out back
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm David (in London):

Handy, you can practice your licks once the Branston Pickle arrives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm Handy Haversack:

Oh, COOL, @Phillippe! That's so great.

Branston Lickle, @DIL!
Avatar 👻 2:15pm acid casualty:

I still regret not buying a 45 at the salvation army store 30 years ago entitled 'lick a pickle'
Swag For Life Member 2:16pm Confusionist:

So correct me if this old fart got this wrong buuut last.fm had 'Runaway' credited to the Jefferson Airplane. Uh nope. That I believe is the Jefferson Starship. Yo that Marty Balin though!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm coelacanth∅:

Joe B i WILL check that one out!
Avatar 2:17pm Joe B:

it's on the Neil Americana album
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm listener 126464:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm coelacanth∅:

Confusionist it does sound like starship
Avatar 2:19pm Joe B:

it is j starship, my bad on the autofill
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks Joe i've heard that high flying bird then...and i just looked at my (385-song long) Neil Young playlist and sure enough it's on there, bookmarked but i forgot to go back to it.
that'll happen later today though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm WFMU listener WADE:

thanks for keeping the Mighty WFMU up and running
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm Mr. Pumpy:

I thought this was Karate at first...but alas, the late, great Karl Hendricks. Solid.
  2:30pm JakeGould:

I just had to attend a videoconference meeting. Before it started everyone just talked about what it was like where they were. Then the meeting started. People couldn’t get anything working. Then we all decided to reschedule the meeting for “later” since there’s no point now.
Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Confusionist:

Yeah the Airplane and Starship gave off different vibes. I loved the Airplane and just came of age a minute too late to see them though went to many Hot Tuna shows and seen Jefferson Starship at the Hollywood Sportatorium in Florida 1975. Thanks for playing this because there are many gaps in my musical knowledge and I was totally turned off to the Starship after 'Red Octopus' and 'Dragonfly'. Thought they were very lame. Perhaps. But now I know better. Heart rending stuff as well. So thanks Joe! That's why WFMU can never die! Always something to delight and inform!
  2:31pm JakeGould:

WFMU should host Zoom meetings discussing Jefferson Airplane/Starship.
Avatar 2:31pm βrian:

I've had one video conference so far. It went fine and I was glad I remembered to to tape over my laptop camera.
  2:32pm JakeGould:

But on the bright side, I am purely dealing with work and none of the office nonsense. So hey!
Swag For Life Member 2:35pm Confusionist:

Love to hear a discussion about JA/JS. Maybe someone could jar this old acidhead's addled memory.
Avatar 2:35pm βrian:

I do miss my 11 a.m. Tuesday morning meetings, though. They're really useful though we don't get much done.
Swag For Life Member 2:36pm Confusionist:

Love to hear a discussion about JA/JS. Might help to jar this old acidhead's memory.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm David (in London):

Signing off for a bit now, but thanks (again) Joe, and see you some you groovers later for some Techt-on-ik.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Phillippe Bastille:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Handy Haversack:

L8r, David!
Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Confusionist:

Not to mention my problem with this newfangled technology.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm coelacanth∅:

Confusionist to be honest volunteers is the cut-off for me. never heard anything by starship that wasn't boring at best and same goes for post-Balin airplane.
then there's the airplane album with Balin from the late 70s but it's mostly studio musicians so, predictably boring also. (even with Balin's beautiful voice)
  2:39pm John from Florham park:

@DIL see ya later
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm coelacanth∅:

haha! Joe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm coelacanth∅:

(^ i mean, late 80s)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm mariano:

Take care @DIL.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm Handy Haversack:

And the Borg Queen is yours, mariano -- if you dare!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm mariano:

Nyeh heh heh heh!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm Stevel:

Borzoi seems to be capturing the mood of the month.
  2:48pm Don F.:

Hey Joe and 3 chord stay in place work at home rockers.
Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Confusionist:

I think we could both agree to the beautiousness of Marty Balin's voice. But there are many gems after the Volunteers album. Check out 'Eat Starch Mom' from the 'Long John Silver' album. I think it's a doozy!
And c'mon Joe. Can't get down with the live version of 'Feel So Good' from 'Thirty Seconds Over Winterland'. Loved tripping to that along with Floyd's 'Echoes. Ah. Good times!
  2:50pm schmitzzz:

thank you for the music - so glad i remembered to turn my radio on and got your show.
  2:51pm John from Florham park:

@Brian was it because of what was played at 11am on Tuesday:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm mariano:

Love me some Keith Morris.
  2:53pm John from Florham park:

@Handy I have discovered on the accu boards there are great answers to questions you can get and great conversations at times
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm Stevel:

Thought I heard Fleshies in there!
Avatar 2:55pm Blues Mandinga:

Thanks for the music. Greetings from Bogotá, Colombia.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm mariano:

Oh wait, why have I been under the impression that Triclops! was a Keith Morris project?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm mariano:

Ohhh, wires crossed with Off! It's those damn exclamation points!
Avatar 2:56pm Joe Belock:

not this triclops
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm coelacanth∅:

i expect you're correct about that, there must be gems on those 2 "last" airplane albums. put into a different setting -not surrounded by the beating a dead horse rest of the album material. i will explore again.
...but times were changing things and had -not just with Balin's departure. the world changed. much more boring arenarock coming fast down the road at that point.
Avatar 2:57pm Joe B:

thanks everybody for hanging in. appreciate it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm steveo:

thanks, Joe!
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm coelacanth∅:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm Handy Haversack:

Dang, 3 already! Thanks, Joe -- great job to October Joe for the tunes and Now Joe for hanging out. Means the world!
