Woo!

JakeGould:

Is this refrigerator hum supposed to happen?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm
ultradamno:

Damn it. Had me thinking something just went horribly wrong on my end.

Hello!

I really can’t decide whether that buzz was a deliberate part of the track or not. Another reason why I love wfmu and vocal fry!
Avatar 🍳 Swag For Life Member 7:06pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Tune your uvula to Vocal Fry, Mondays 6-7 PM!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm
Dan Bodah:

Phew! Rolling with the punches over here -- computer has never crashed before, never gave me a chance to throatsing along with it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm
Dan Bodah:

I suppose for the first time computer crashes, it's ideal to be live on air with it...

ranjit:

Spectacular save, Dan!

ultradamno:

Harmonizing with the fatal error. Into the deep blue screen of death.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm
Dan Bodah:

Glad to see my little save worked!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm
Dan Bodah:

Atop the playlist tonight is the new Vocal Fry mascot, Bartholomew, created by VF comrade DJ Purple Haze
Avatar 7:18pm
Richard S:

Hello Bartholomew! (should I bow down to him or just wave?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm
Dan Bodah:

@Richard S, gentle genuflection should suffice
  7:28pm
The Butterman:

I was in the shower shaving my head with the electric clipper when the computer crashed and when I shut my razor I thought my house was under alien attack or worse. The drone was the same exact tone as my razor.
Avatar 7:28pm
Uhnnohn:

There is a YOLO song?
  7:29pm
JakeGould:

I vote for the refrigerator hum computer to be a new DJ.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm
Dan Bodah:

YES @Butterman. I live for these synchronicities.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm
Dan Bodah:

@JakeGould, for a while I was recruiting other WFMU DJs to join me in a band that played only vacuums with various woodwinds shoved into their hoses.
Avatar 7:31pm
Richard S:

I wonder if this couple also has a version of music from Forbidden Planet....
  7:31pm
JakeGould:

Now if that is a $10 dollar idea if I ever heard one!
  7:34pm
penelope:

ahoj Dan! Yay Bartholomew!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm
Dan Bodah:

Listener Robert:

I forgot, has Vocal Fry ever featured kopf spielen?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm
Dan Bodah:

I like how Bartholomew is giving it his all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm
Dan Bodah:

@Listener Robert care to elaborate? I don't think so.
  7:45pm
Listener Robert:

Knocking on your head with your mouth open, creating stacatto percussion notes rather than sustained ones by breathing. You tune it by the shape of your mouth.
  7:45pm
Listener Robert:

Jean P. Shepherd, among others, used to do it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46pm
Dan Bodah:

Ah, I have not -- thanks for the suggestion!
  7:48pm
Listener Robert:

I get louder sound by knocking on my teeth. The skull attenuates the volume when you knock the top of your head.

However, you can also use the semi-slack cheeks as drum heads.
Avatar 🍳 Swag For Life Member 7:49pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Not this, @LR? youtu.be...
  7:52pm
Listener Robert:

Same idea, Ken from Hyde, using another "drum head" available, thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:53pm
steveo:

Good evening! Glad to catch some Fry!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm
Dan Bodah:

Thanks everyone! see you next week!
