This was a message from his son David
Yes unfortunately he passed Monday morning but he was comfortable and with loved ones. We have not yet made decisions on the memorial service but will keep you posted. And yes he sure did get the Risk Board game! Haha

@Carol: Thanks for last week's set, it was the most moving thing I've heard on WFMU, and something that can only happen on this station

Was just about to write that it is sunny, but the capricious weather is raining now.

BiUK showed us some pictures of the recent Severn flooding near him, heart-stopping.
The flock of mourning doves I feed each winter day has arrived, fluttering down from the butternut tree like October leaves in a light breeze.

But I just read a message sent to me in reference to one of my silly for sale posts on market place. I listed rocks that my dog brings home. 3 random rocks for 419.00 licked clean by my dog. Here is his message :
I have massive stone collections , over a thousand Indian artifacts and mined out 100’s of tons of glacial deposit and feel confidant in my experience and knowledge of working with stone over 50 years to identify your stone as a leaverite.
*How do I explain to him they have been verified to be Carolytes?
Ok going back to the headphones
PMA Carol. Thanks again
Lixiviated Life:
While there’s something to be said for knowing the authors life and how it shaped the work, I think that their books are sometimes better without the back story.

Teen years were more Radiguet, Dickens and Boris Vian (translations were a bit too trendy though) Oh and Stefan Zweig a little later.
Lixiviated Life:
@ParUbi Jack always identified as a Catholic. He gave me the definition of my faith on a WF Buckley show.
“As a Catholic I believe in order, tenderness, and piety”.
