Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04am

Hey all! I'm a pank roker too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04am
ultradamno:

There's a Flipside video magazine where the guitar player for White Flag sings Henry VIII with the lyrics "I'm Henry Rollins I am, Henry Rollins I am I am, I'm the singer for the band Black Flag..." etc.

Good morning all you dashing listeners! Thanks for tuning in!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09am
mariano:

Lol, ultradamno! I remember seeing graffiti sometime in the late 80s/early 90s that said "I'm Rollins, and I can't shut up!" [for anyone not around in those days, there was a commercial back then for Life Alert with an old woman saying "I've fallen, and I can't get up!" which became kind of a meme]

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18am

Yeah jt - that's always been a persoanl favorite. My favorite era for the band too...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am
ultradamno:

I was just looking at this overview of Plain Brown Wrapper from Sundazed in 2012, which gets some mixed reviews here for quality but looks like an attractive approximation of how the Strictly Personal/Mirror Man stuff was originally envisioned to be released www.beefheart.com...
Avatar 12:26am
jt:

,,Mirror Man'' going to have to get that record down from the shelves for tomorrow's listening..wait..are 'MM Sessions' a "must-have" ? I am thinking it's a must have..no one tells me this stuff..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am
TomDash:

Yeah ultradamno - sessions have been released in various forms. I beleive some of the tracks that came out on the CD "I May Be Hungry, But I Sure Ain't Weird" - love that CD but never picked up the Sundazed dbl LP
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31am
ultradamno:

And most of what's on Hungry is also on the Safe As Milk CD as bonus tracks (with a couple extra takes cut for time)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37am
ultradamno:

...with is kind of what Mirror Man Sessions looks like to me, Mirror Man with Hungry material as extras. www.discogs.com...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53am

the cure made my list (in my mind) of favorite bands that turned to shit in the early 80s, instigating me to ignore almost all new english-language music for a decade.

Haha, for sure. Don't want guts splattered on the car and don't want to slam the brakes and lose momentum.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13am
coelacanth∅:

i'd think the dumb opossum also doesn't want it's guts splattered on your car -though they often act like they'd be okay with it. maybe they know something about an afterlife that we're not sure of
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15am
ultradamno:

Possums aren't dumb. They just have mobility issues and they're a little sensitive about it.

en attendant ana another french group i've got material of via bandcamp. don't know how it happened, i don't even speak french. but i can't afford the new album. when i bought mine it was "name your price" and i paid $3.00.
it's surely worth $10. but i can't do it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34am
coelacanth∅:

ultra d that took forever to load but
Aww...

i'm on a computer that i rarely do any exploring with because it takes so long and because i've banished all supposedly protective programs from it, so it could function.
- which is why i might ask a question like did basement 5 do there's a riot going on instead of looking it up my damn self
