Dean:

One of the most memorable musical days of my life was in 2000, when I hired Alan Broadbent's trio to play the public library where I worked. Yamaha donated a concert grand for the event. After the exhausting day setting up, em-cee-ing, digging the performance, and tearing down, my wife and I headed to Culver City to hear Broadbent at the old Jazz Bakery, where he accompanied Mark Murphy.

Hellow, Duane and all...ducked out and I'm back and loving the grooves. Actually listened in the car a bit, but I went to Good Will to scope out some records. I came back empty handed...such is life.

Ken From Hyde Park:

Good afternoon, Duane and those on the train with no pain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm
Mr. Pumpy:

Duane...I had a cool yellow vinyl record which was a choral group from a high school in Tennessee pressed in 1961. I just got aggravated with the place and left without it. I may go back. It was in pretty good shape for $2. It seemed like it was pressed for choir members and friends/family. Perhaps the hunter is toying with the prey!

Hello Duane, hello all, working late listening live, great show!
Avatar 2:02pm
Cecile:

I know! it's really awkward.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm
queems:

frankly i think the eas test makes an excellent transition
Avatar 2:05pm
Duane:

Cecile: I'd love to, but I don't think it's allowed:( Should I do an extended re-edit of the Eas test next time? LOL! Maybe I'll get Al Kent to do one too
  2:05pm
choggie:

'In the event of an actual emergency, you will be instructed to stay tuned to this station for more information on thick cuts and fatty beats."
Avatar 2:08pm
Cecile:

Yes extended Al Kent EAS remix is mandatory.
Avatar 2:09pm
mb:

It should be Billy Jams "job" to re-mix the eas test at the start of his show. Preferably with Irwins voice mixed in since he seems to have the hardest time with it.
Avatar 2:16pm
KRYPT:

Mix the EAS into "Warm Leatherette", it works, in my brain, anyway :p
Avatar 2:23pm
Cecile:

Ok, now I want Carl Weathers do the voiceover to a disco version of the theme from the Mandalorian.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm
Mr. Pumpy:

This is KajagooGOOD! 12" goodness. thanks, Duane! You perform miracles...
Avatar 2:34pm
Duane:

Mr. Pumpy: Yup! I always thought there were 3 solid mega-Jams on that Kajagoogoo record..and the "hang on Now" video is a classic of the era and a beautiful song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm
