Wall-to-wall Vout, Webhamster Henry!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:13am dutchtheo:

That Willie Nix song was actually a kind of cover of Catfish blues by Robert Petway , Muddy Waters recorded it as Rollin Stone, ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:16am Doug Schulkind:

This song is quite baldly promoting violence against domestic partners. Give the Drummer Some condemns such behavior in the strongest possible terms.

WFMU is snooze you can use.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38am Doug Schulkind:

RUPERT Pupkin, not Rufus. What a doofus I am (or maybe a dupert?).

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41am Doug Schulkind:

Back in the early- to mid-'90s when WFMU had a supporter/volunteer who worked at Bell Labs, he designed for WFMU a system that you program your land-line telephone to call you at an appointed hour and wake you up with WFMU on the phone.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:41am Artie:

Hi Doug and people! I'm cranked on coffee and packing up the last of my things to move back into my house today.
  10:32am Jeff g.:

I'd like to take this opportunity to share one of my favorite Art Blakey stories: "Jazz drummer Art Blakey and his band once drove past a funeral in a rural cemetery. Blakey stopped the car and he and his band joined the small gathering at graveside. The preacher asked if anyone wanted to speak in behalf of the deceased. There was a brief silence, broken by Blakey's plea: 'In that case, would anyone mind if I said a few words for jazz?'"

As I've discussed before, probably mostly with myself -- I enjoyed the scene in BlacKkKlansman where people dance to Corn Bros & Rose.

"Too Late to Turn Back Now" is appropriate for Brexit day, me thinks...unfortunately...
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:44am JtotheK:

Also I like Mandrill 'Too Late' 45.

Finished my painting for the day and wanted to belatedly offer kudos for that fantastic 2-min song set. That was amazing.
Avatar 11:48am Listener Gregory:

Also, and I'm sure this request has already been made, next week kindly play the songs that you played just the introductions of this week. Thx

@Listener Gregor
I think I forgot to say hello to you about three hours ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50am Doug Schulkind:

@Listener Gregory
I will see if my unpaid intern can pull that together.
Avatar 11:50am Listener Gregory:

@Doug, no you said, and I quote, "Listener Gregory!" I was very touched. And thanks for a great show.

Did a lot of teachers in 1973 school classrooms feature this Al Wilson song during show & tell?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am Doug Schulkind:

Allen LaMar Wilson. "Show and Tell." His biggest hit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am Uncle Michael:

My school didn't have show and tell. We had a truth and reconciliation commission.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Sem:

Love the music, the company, and the host of three indespensable Drummer Stream hours every Friday. Bye, Doug and all, for now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Handy Haversack:
