If this is Radio Ravioli, can we rename Stashu's show Radio Pierogi?

Do you want to know a secret? Do you promise not to tell? Then here it is, quite in the wind. A family with six children, with five men, one woman and a tiny goose. Two wolves, two sheep. One tortoise, and one lion. Now, listen to me very carefully, as I tell you this before you mention it to anybody. Now they're all alive, in fact. They're all alive, except the goose, that's dead. And I am the world's best camel!

Are the fake Texas duo Hank & Slim related to the fake Texas combo Jon Wayne?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm
olivia:

Hank and Slim is Robin Storey and Nigel Ayers of Nocturnal Emissions. there's a bunch of mutated, mix'd n flipp'd 'n stretched country
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm
olivia:

On the CD, it describes them as a a duo from the 50s / 60s, who collaborrated and then had a falling out

It also says in the liner notes to Hank and Slim that "Hank made a brief comeback playing local gigs with a country/punk crossover band ... The band opened for better known acts such as k.d. lang, ZZ top, ... Hank especially liked the Thompson Twins and befriended lead singer Tom Bailey. .... However, Hank's brief comeback was not to last, as the interest for novelty punk bands died out. ... He left the music industry to return to his beloved Slim in Obscurity, Texas ... Hank and Slim remained recluses for another two decades before these recordings emerged. "(left out a lot that's on the CD case!)

"let's bring out the ludes and have a ball"
A version with altered lyrics, by No wave singer Cristina, was available briefly in 1980. However, it offended songwriters Leiber and Stoller, who sued and were able to get it suppressed for some time. Produced by August Darnell (Kid Creole), this version was eventually re-issued in 2004, with the songwriters' blessing, as a bonus track on a Cristina compilation album - Wiki
