Not true! I was hoping for many highlights from "Cats."

Yeah I love the Sicario soundtrack.

I'm wondering if "Cats" will turn into the future's "Plan 9 From Outer Space"....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm
ultradamno:

I don't think a movie that high budget can be a Plan 9...Ishtar, maybe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm
ultradamno:

...or Glitter, that's probably more apt.

Showgirls? Exorcist II: The Heretic?

So we’re saying there WON’T be any clips at ALL from “Cats”?! For real...?

If you get around to playing Senza De Ti from "The Farewell", that's my friend Fredo Viola. I was one of the singers in the "Karaoke style" chorus group at the end. #alwaystalkingaboutme

Exorcist II the same year Blair got busted for coke, I wonder which was worse for her career.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm
mariano:

Always had a soft spot for Exorcist II, it's just such a weird contrast to the first one, which, aside from the special effects and supernatural stuff, took place in the real world. Next thing you know, they're in a world where psychologists use psychic headbands to beam themselves into people's dreams. Went completely off the deep end.

ultradamno:

Halloween III was a tough sell for similar reasons, people don't go to sequels to see the apple cart overturned.
Avatar 7:42pm
huomenta:

wasn't exorcist II a favourite of Martin Scorcese? He seems to be fond of movies that might not always be high on the critics' lists if I remember correctly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm
ultradamno:

The series is better than the movie, I'll say that much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm
mariano:

Maybe Cats will be more like Xanadu or Can't Stop the Music, maybe the Bee Gees' Sgt Pepper: big-budget musicals that went for broke trying to be the next big thing, then completely crashed and burned. Forgot about H3, ultradamno - that was weird, wasn't it?

JakeGould:

At 110 minutes, I think “Cats” might be tolerable in some way. I’m just not ready to go there yet.
Avatar 7:51pm
Richard S:

@JakeGould, according to an article in the Washington Post, you need to be stoned when you see it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm
ultradamno:

The Bee Gees + Peter Frampton vs. Alice Cooper, Steve Martin and Aerosmith...and wasn't a big plot point that they were steal their instruments, which is just what every touring band had to deal with...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm
mariano:

I hadn't heard that, huomenta. Doesn't surprise me: despite his reputation as a mobster-flick director, his oeuvre is really eclectic. Don't forget George Burns, ultradamno - it was an all-star malarial fever dream!
