Intrinsically curated, the music on this program—exclusively vinyl played on Technic 1200 M3D turntables—presents an illuminating collection of other-worldly grooves, beats, and sounds. Host Kim Sorise honors the jazz innovators, beat conductors, soul senders, and mind benders that traverse our musical and auditory landscapes. Grease for all. In music we trust.

It was hectic but nice (still putting the house back together after 2 family gatherings at our house.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm
doctorjazz:

That's new, huh? Fits nicely between the other tracks (and was a cool track on its own)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm
KimSorise:

Very cool. I often have a small houseful of friends. But this year we turned off the phone, hung in the hot tub in the morning, and lived on the couch with some movies and ate great things enhancing both gastronomic and otherworldly appetites.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm
doctorjazz:

That sounds heavenly, Kim!
That Comet is Coming album seems not to be released yet, checked Bandcamp, which doesn't have it at all, and Amazon, which has it for pre release order. You get an advance copy?

Ooh, I love this Maulawi record. I've had it for years, but some how hadn't heard (or didn't remember) Sphinx Rabbit until I heard you play it a few years ago, Kim. I always think of this as a "Kim record."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm
KimSorise:

It’s funny because I knew if you were out there you would chime in! After I played it a bit back - I heard you play it when I tuned into your show! Same Brain...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19pm
Doug Schulkind:

I played it thanks to you!

...and now, Eddie Jefferson. In heaven I am...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm
KimSorise:

Hey Major Doug, does GTDR have an Instagram handle?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm
KimSorise:

You’d think after nearly 5 years I’d know, but. . .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm
Doug Schulkind:

@KimSorise
No it does not. But I'm guessing it probably should. It has a Twitter feed and a Facebook page, but no Instagram.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36pm
KimSorise:

Shit! This record just kills me - Lloyd McNeill. I think this one may be my favorite of the 3 I own.

Dang, I don't seem to have "Asha II." I have McNeill's "Asha," but not "Asha II." This must be rectified!
