Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from November 1, 2019 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

In 1980 when The Specials played at The Whisky, The Alleycats, a great L.A. punk band opened the show. I remember thinking How can The Specials top this? Well, the thunder and heat The Specials created was something to behold. After that, The Alleycats became more focused fierce. Never again would they be caught with their pants down.

Geezer, I would go to Book Soup more often, but it's just to hard to park around there.

...Joni painted some of her album covers, i'm nearly positive -despite wikipedia not saying so. clouds, i think, is a self-portrait.

Franco, yes, whole city's that way!
Went to Guston show downtown and was shocked by all the over-development. Literally more every time we go there.

I wonder too, coel. Was relieved when it wasn't included in the leftover gallery. It's rare that I learn where an artwork landed, once I donate it for an auction
