I know requests are generally seen as gauche here at WFMU but boy, it would be nice to hear something by Thelonious Monk who, had he lived, would be 102 years old tomorrow!

Some geriatric mag christened us the Best Smalltown in USA
...few weeks later - e. coli warning in water supply. Long term effort to seperate storm runoff from sewage...
Waitress grabbed water glass right from my hand...that was a 1st :) ...

As to meetings, ever notice that even if they're paid time away from harder work, they're still an annoying interruption in that work? I mean, even if it's unpleasant work you dislike, a meeting is worse.

Cream came exactly between The Who & the Jimi Hendrix Experience - both in History - & in Evolution...
Baker was not as fluid (...tho' he did have natural facility @ playing polyrythms...) nor as varied as either Moon or Mitchell (who were *very much* those things) - but he did have strenght & crazy endurance. & - his own Voice on the instrument. Just as he had his own Voice in everything...the definition of a Leo Monster...& Talent...
'BEWARE Mr. Baker'...he did hit the Filmaker inna face...

Joe said they can’t send him the Bumper sticker either. I’m seriously getting heated over this. I haven’t heard Beach from Ken. If that’s actually the case then Hoe should have said, hey sorry we can’t do either of those requests because we can’t figure out how to do a simple transfer of a donation. As well he should have sent the money back. I already had donated in my own name.
Sorry Irwin
I’m a little upset about some nonsense that’s important to some of us listeners

The worse part is that if I did not ask about the pumpkin icon not being on his profile I never would have known. They sent me a receipt with the exact request. So even after the explanation he gave about the icon he still didn’t say anything about the Bumper sticker until I further inquired. This is just a big turn off for me on the management of the fundraiser.

He opened the movie, too - & since I was in public in 1980 on more acid than I understood watching it - he freaking melted me as well. Lennon was shot four days later...

I played in a hardcore/punk band. Our drummer passed in a bike accident. We took in a punk who’s drumming was so bad I wouldn’t go on stage with him.

Good point about Jazz & Rawk Mr. I.C. ...
Drummer gotta match the Band - obviously where we're going ...
Bonham - had Power, Funk - & the Sound everybody wants from their kit & in the studio too. That's why he's Sampled constantly.

Absolutely under-recognized Musician. I mean - the Musician most compatible w/ & indispensable to Jimi Hendrix. Wow. Focus always on Jimi - understandably...
I'm rare round here - love the doors. Flamenco/Slide Gittar - Densmore from Jazz - Manzarek so talented - & that Frontman - I'm sorry - great Writer, Singer - & fairly notable Performer...quite a combo...
Drummer gotta fit Band.
Great Musicians don't always work together! Altho' many say that's one of the moral codes - that you should be up for that...
