Been working, but I feel the pain of cat pilling (and kitty UTIs). So glad my Pyewackett's dumb enough to just eat the pill when I mix it into her food.

Pseu, the trick is to crush the pills into powder (use two spoons) and mix them into a spoonful of canned food. I have to do this for my cat every day and she never refuses it.

I tried the pill syringe and she hated it - jamming something half the length of her tail down her throat.

My kitties do well with Purina Pro Plan UT wet food and Hill's Urinary/Hairball kibble. I also give them Cosequin which has been shown to fortify bladder linings. :)

I had a cat some time back that I would put a pill on the floor, sit with him, point to it (theatrically) while saying Lester! eat the pill boy! Come on, eat it! He would try and often, do it. He was less resistant cause I started this way when I did have to help him get it in there.

Pill Pockets have been my sporadic friend (if I didn't miss you saying you'd tried them). I've also had luck with the crushed-into-wet food option when mine has learned the trick of licking the pocket off the pill. Mostly I just pray whatever's prescribed has a liquid option.

re: The Police -- definitely one of those bands that placed downright awesome tracks on the b-sides of their singles! I swear by those first three LPs, though.

My condolences re: pilling a cat, which is a gigantic PITA in my experience. My late lamented Zero-G, the Amazing Zero-Gravity Cat, was an expert at spitting out pills, even a minute or two later after I thought enough time had passed to be sure it had been swallowed.
