Not related to the hymn at hand, but Mind Controllers should really give a listen to yesterday’s Fresh Air interview w Richard Gottleib, mastermind of the CIA’s notorious yet top secret MK Ultra program, which is totally relevant to the concerns of this show: https://www.npr.org/programs/fresh-air/2019/09/09/759096464/fresh-air-for-sept-9-2019-the-cias-secret-quest-for-mind-control?showDate=2019-09-09

Correction: interview with author of a new book ABOUT Gottleib. That’s what I get for typing while listening to cult indoctrination recordings.

"Before You Judge My Actions Lord"

Is that basically giving God the one finger "hold your horses" gesture?
  6:16pm
ron-ji:

Yes, Sidney. The late. See above: wanted to remember to spread the word to the congregation ASAP but I was multitasking. It’s an incredible story that I only knew the mere basics of before listening—in a nutshell, the classic “LSD was a CIA plot” paranoid rant of the 70s was mostly correct, and only scratching the surface.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16pm

Ha! The plumbers left. Coming back tomorrow.

@ron-ji - MK Ultra...wasn't that the program that introduced LSD to the USA population with the idea that it would de - rail what appeared to be the chance of an actual revolution in this country, coming from the youth of the time? An interesting thing about LSD, it has no significant effect on the developing brain. It works its magic with teen aged brains and older is my understanding. Just mentioning something from my own research.

ron-ji:

I started watching Wormwood and liked it, but I am not much of a binger so I forgot about it till last night and now I want to return to it. The LSD angle was only a part of Gottleib’s agenda—the larger goal was mind control, brainwashing, & various means of destabilizing governments by dosing their leaders with substances that would make them seem crazy. (This was back when people were actually concerned when their leaders talked crazy talk.) I don’t want to provide many spoilers, but Billie Holiday, Nazi doctors, and Buddhism/meditation are all involved, and when the program was disbanded, Gottleib became a kind of real-like Q ?M? I forget the letter of James Bond’s spy gadget designer). It’s a wild story from beginning to end.
