after living in apartments since college (in a previous millennium), my spouse and I now have part of a house with a back yard and today she tried to clean it up with a weed whacker and that is a thing we are not used to :)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm

yes, leafblowers, never; this I swear

we had suggested that the landlord buy us a push-powered mower, but he responded by bringing over the whacker.

At first this was fine, but now the problem seems to be replacing the string which was consumed. Videos of same have been consulted. Further attempts shall be postponed pending a cinematic outing.

Heard Blondie "Rapture" on the radio today, (Basquiat made cameo appearance -- "hired when Grandmaster Flash did not show for the filming"), and was just discussing a few days ago how that's such an odd track, and circumstance, to be credited with helping early mainstreaming of rap. But was first featuring "rap" to top charts, and first rap video played by MTV. Of all the possibilities and recordings....hm.
