	♥ 3:36pm David D: βrian: Yes, in fact there are a few nice new bike paths of the kind in the area. Of course, many train lines continue to be in use, thankfully.
	♥ 3:37pm David D: And then there are oddities like the one in the picture, which I just happened to come across last week. I believe it is an old mining line that may or may not still be in use.
	3:38pm βrian: The rail line in Flint, Michigan where I used to flatten pennies, is now a trail. Not the most appealing trail, mind you.
	♥ 3:40pm David D: I like the ones here that still have the distance markers alongside the trail.
	♥ 3:43pm Phillippe Bastille: There's a nice one that runs from Baltimore and Annapolis. Lots of access points and plenty of places to eat and get bike parts just off the trail.
	3:46pm βrian: A local restaurateur had plans to build a cafe/restaurant that would be accessible only via the bike path. It never came to fruition.
	♥ 3:48pm David D: There are a few places here that cater to bike traffic in particular, a shame that didn't work out.

	4:22pm Carmichael: We have a great bike/pedestrian trail that runs about 20 miles, with mile markers, bathrooms and aggressive homeless vagrants.

	4:28pm Carmichael: It runs from Folsom (near the prison) through the foothills to downtown Sacramento, the Capitol. Parts of it are pretty sketchy, while the rest is natural beauty.

	♥ 3:37pm David D: And then there are oddities like the one in the picture, which I just happened to come across last week. I believe it is an old mining line that may or may not still be in use.
	3:38pm βrian: The rail line in Flint, Michigan where I used to flatten pennies, is now a trail. Not the most appealing trail, mind you.
	♥ 3:40pm David D: I like the ones here that still have the distance markers alongside the trail.
	♥ 3:43pm Phillippe Bastille: There's a nice one that runs from Baltimore and Annapolis. Lots of access points and plenty of places to eat and get bike parts just off the trail.
	3:46pm βrian: A local restaurateur had plans to build a cafe/restaurant that would be accessible only via the bike path. It never came to fruition.
