one thing I dig about Bollywood tunes: the instrumentation is wild- here comes a wah-wah organ, there goes a mandolin solo, here's a brass section, there's sitar solo, here's a tabla riff, now a synth, etc!

I heard Hamza el Din live at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica.

Once, during a lunch at an Indian vegetarian restaurant in Cerritos, CA, I overheard the PA music. I mentioned to the proprietor that it sounded like the work of producer Kavi Alexander (he of Water Lily Acoustics in Santa Barbara). The proprietor replied that Kavi had been there for lunch the day before. The record was the forthcoming new WLA record!
