At last! A chance to say directly (I'm usually sleeping or working when Nicole is on the air) how much I love her presence on WFMU.

i would love to hear nicole read tom wait's 'what's he building?' - and then at the end reveal that it's a go kart or something fun.

I cooked a tri-tip steak last last night -- you have to find the point where the grain changes so you can slice it (across the grain) properly.

Who wants to bet this is the future of meat?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm
pacific standard simon:

Science fiction has clearly changed a great deal since I was a faaan in the 70s. But then, we were reading stories about flying through space and living in concentration camps in 2020.

betsyo - gluten free is good!

Ken From Hyde Park:

Imagine if carnivorous aliens came here and made steaks from humans? I wonder how we compare with the animals we eat?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm
ultradamno:

2020 concentration camps...absur...sigh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

pig = pork
cow = beef
sheep = mutton
human = ???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25pm
dale:

human = blargh.
  7:26pm
The Butterman:

Great question Ken.
  7:26pm
The Butterman:

Mmmmmmmmmm, a nice blargh with sautéed onions!
  7:27pm
BetsyO:

@Dale,.... gluten is bone free, it has no stature and does not scream when sliced or pummeled to death,... just not sustainable for our dark future.

Emily and Kimzilla interviewed a guy who found an answer to the question of what people taste like. It's OK, it was ethically sourced.....

BetsyO:

Now I know what it would be like to be graphic designer working inside a murderous carnivore carnival, where body parts are as numerous as picas and bit mapped reflections of my existential being, all floating in the downloadable cloud for a very reasonable annual subscription price!

JakeGould:

human = mettle
  7:45pm
JakeGould:

Roasted mettle on rye.
  7:46pm
BetsyO:

@JakeGould,.... maybe Heavy Mettle
  7:48pm
JakeGould:

If we are eating human flesh, it is very mettle.
  7:51pm
BetsyO:

We most likely breath in human flesh on a daily basis, most likely in its dry flacky form.
  7:52pm
JakeGould:

By that measure we inhale crushed bugs all day.
  7:54pm
BetsyO:

We breath in and exhale the world, and all those things traveling through space and time.
  7:56pm
JakeGould:

No we don’t.
  7:57pm
BetsyO:

Perhaps I would be able to see my thoughts more clearly if I replaced my print head?
  7:59pm
BetsyO:

Yes we do, though perhaps not you Jake,... I think you are special, an outlier,... one with an intact print head.

Sorry, I was interrupted by a Windows update. Human = Soylent Green, which is (Soylent, anyway) a trademarked nutrient supplement currently being advertised on cable television. Believe it or not! Predicted in the 70s....
