There were these series of experimental nights where you could do anything onstage for a number of years in pdx. great community it was fun

	4:27pm Martinibomb: @Jan I love it' great piece of software. Small.. just really well put together ya know what I mean? And reasonable. It's free until you feel like paying for it which is only $60.
	♥ 4:28pm Rich in Washington: truth told, I have never bought a license for Reaper. It just gives a gentle reminder upon startup. I don't think I've missed whatever feature that the license unlocks. It's really good. I probably should buy it, but I don't use it much these days.

	4:32pm Martinibomb: @GG It's hard to compare Audacity vs Reaper because Reaper is a much bigger program and highly configurable. which should scare u tho because it's really easy to use at the same time. No harm in trying it out.. see how you like it?
	♥ 4:32pm Rich in Washington: Reaper's a bit more like a Pro-Tools type of production suite. You can easily multitrack stuff, apply effects and processes on an envelope. It sort of reminds me of video production software in the way you can manipulate tracks. You can also automate track levels on multitrack projects.

	♥ 4:36pm Rich in Washington: I love Audacity for simple editing and for ripping records (its export labels feature is amazing!) and its ID4 tagging is really good. I probably use Audacity most. I do like the stripped down early version of Adobe Audition called Soundbooth if I want to do some fancy noise reduction/restoration/dynamic tweaking.

	5:47pm Martinibomb: Office Products just played a live set for the first time for Record Store day at Specks. They also did a set on Freeform Portland earlier that day which I could probably get u the archive for.

	4:32pm Martinibomb: @GG It's hard to compare Audacity vs Reaper because Reaper is a much bigger program and highly configurable. which should scare u tho because it's really easy to use at the same time. No harm in trying it out.. see how you like it?
	♥ 4:32pm Rich in Washington: Reaper's a bit more like a Pro-Tools type of production suite. You can easily multitrack stuff, apply effects and processes on an envelope. It sort of reminds me of video production software in the way you can manipulate tracks. You can also automate track levels on multitrack projects.

I do like the stripped down early version of Adobe Audition called Soundbooth if I want to do some fancy noise reduction/restoration/dynamic tweaking.
