It's time for another InterActiv™ Record Fair Listening Party! I've listed the records I bought at the WFMU Record Fair this past weekend to the left. Now YOU THE LISTENER can make a request for a record or two that you want to hear on the show! I haven't listened to any of these yet myself, and as usual I don't know what most of the records I bought actually sound like, so we'll check them out together!

Post your request right here in the playlist comments, and tune in this Wednesday night (May 1) at 9pm!

Nairobi and the Awesome Foursome - "Funky Soul Makossa (Rap)"
  4/30 9:57pm
Laura in Peekskill:

Waitaminnit--you expect us to believe you didn't already own a copy of APB's "Shoot You Down"? Or several? OK, fine. Play it as your second to last song on the show. YOU KNOW PERFECTLY WELL WHY.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm
efd:

@Laura You got me! But I only had it on a mid’80s “hits” compilation so when I saw the actual single I had to pick it up.

Barkevious Shabazz:

Is the b-side of that APB 7" "Talk to Me"?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53am
Figgsrock:

The New Marketts, since you turned me on to their "Mary Hartman" theme. Starbuck. And obviously Chubby Checker.

Tonight I'll be working on downloading a ton of music for a wedding I'm DJ-ing next weekend, so this will be the perfect entertainment for that task.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01am
Paulie B:

Coincidentally, I bought a Distractions 12" at the fair with an earlier version of "It Doesn't Bother Me" on it. The slightly more polished take on the 7" might be the superior version. A great tune either way!

I guess that's my request. Though I wouldn't mind hearing the Record Players record played (heh) either.

Telex - Moskow Disko

Ditto on Disco and Disko. "Lord of the Manor" is incredible - I just heard it for the first time on someone else's show, Joe McGasko's I think. And you kind of whetted my appetite for Black Oak Arkansas a couple of weeks ago...

Hot Posse sounds intriguing too!
