I totally missed Pippin and Godspell.

Victor Garber bought Gypsy Rose Lee's old property which is a few towns over from me, but I think he sold it recently. I am pretty sure I saw his husband in a local supermarket a few years ago.

Sigurður:

The idea of the "offense principle" is also used in the justification of speech limitations, describing the restriction on forms of expression deemed offensive to society, considering factors such as extent, duration, motives of the speaker, and ease with which it could be avoided. With the evolution of the digital age, application of the freedom of speech becomes more controversial as new means of communication and restrictions arise, for example the Golden Shield Project, an initiative by Chinese government's Ministry of Public Security that filters potentially unfavorable data from foreign countries.

Freedom of speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction.
  10:49pm
Dean:

And yet at the same time, freedom of speech is utter bullshit.
  10:54pm
Carmichael:

Dean, you and I are old hippies, and we realize that, in order for free speech to be effective, someone has to listen.
  10:56pm
phat:

Censorship, as a charge, really applies to institutions. But no one really seems to care about that.

Barry confesses his past to Henry Winkler, who said he wouldn’t view him any differently. When he was done, Winkler said “fuck” at least four consecutive times.

Bye Bye LIFE!
thank-you so much, Therese, for this wonderful dose of FOSSE!
(but yeah -- where ARE those lasers?!?)
waaaay back in the mid-1980s -- for Hallowe'en, one of my co-workers reproduced the costume worn by the two dancers: white unitard with those red and blue "life streams" -- the woman we both worked for and i helped pin the cords in place while she wore the unitard, so she could sew them in place once she got home (one of the BEST Hallowe'en costumes EVER, imho!)
she was part of The Pyramid's Hallowe'en festivities, if i remember correctly, and had a blast dancing on the bar; her costume of *pulsating life* was a total hit!
