I love that piano riff. It sounds like it's an odd time signature, but it's really an 8 count.

Wednesday is donut day here. Although everyone tries to out-do each other. Like the guy who set up a turkey fryer in the parking lot and made fresh doughnuts with tubes of biscuits.

What? A treat? For me?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05am

@Ken, yup, he had bags of powdered sugar, cinnamon & sugar, etc. You'd take the biscuit dough, flatten it out, punch a hole amd plop it in the oil. Then drop it in the bag and shake. Warm donuts, oh yeah.

Bruce Dickenson:

I liked the gong, but you know what this song needs?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12am
Phillippe Bastille:

@AAP that sounds nice. I work at home, so I'm left to my own devices. And FMU. And this message board. I will not eat donuts today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am
Phillippe Bastille:

@rev the grocery store around here makes a swiss roll carrot cake. yum. Not the same consistency as the cake, of course, but you get that yummy icing in every bite.

Phillippe Bastille:

Hmm, I was hoping for at least a teriyaki/chocolate blend. Teriyaki sauce is quite versatile. We are staging our house to sell, and the stager recommended we set up a bar. We have a couple antique decanters, filled one with water to look like vodka/gin, another with water mixed with a teriyaki/water blend that looks just like a fine whiskey. Kinda hoping some real estate agent sneaks a wee dram.

@Jeff. You may be on to something. I just finished a demo song I was working on with a suggestion I work the piano part into a harp. Which was a good suggestion.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50am
Jeff Golick:

Fascinating: "This image, taken in the Atacama Desert, Chile, depicts “La Llareta” or the Yareta plant, a densely flowering shrub that resembles a moss-covered rock. Over 3,000 years old, Yareta is found only in extreme elevations, and is distantly related to parsley. Says Sussman of her work, 'I approach my subjects as individuals of whom I’m making portraits, in order to facilitate an anthropomorphic connection to a deep timescale, otherwise too physiologically challenging for our brain to internalize.'”
