This photo reminds me of when I went to see Lady Gaga some years ago (yes this is true). She had some great videos that she showed during set changes and one of them was VERY similar to that photo of Bjork. Lots of stark white backgrounds etc Wouldn't be surprised to find out it was the same photographer or filmmaker.

Holeeee shit, this PiL track. First heard it as the closing theme of a terrible science fiction film in 1990 with a killer soundtrack, Hardware. Also first heard Ministry (via "Stigmata") in that movie. Wow!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:47pm

John: I haven't ever found a schedule. I've just kind of wander in and out and if I stumble on something good (or great, like our friend Julie), I make a mental bookmark.

I've had bees and butterflies in my garden since late January (I also plant wildflowers, to help my veggies get pollinated)>

Painted Lady butterflies migrated through city and desert in huge numbers for the first time in years. You see a few, then more, and suddenly you're in a scene from some 40s Disney animation. Pretty magical.

I've heard about this butterfly thing, sounds amazing. When in doubt go to a concert if you can. Honestly. You never know when it's your last chance. That said, I have no interest in seeing Queen with Adam Lambert.

finding a place to live in NYC is really hard. So many fun people are moving away.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm

@Julie that is normally my game plan of choice and excellent advice to live by. I have so many on the list now that the "season" is coming just have to decide where the finances get directed to. And for free (including parking) I would actually go see Brian May Adam Lambert and Roger Taylor (see what I did there :) )

Someone once explained living in NYC to me as when you walk out of the house in the morning just throw a 20 dollar bill in the air that's the minimum of what it will cost you.

At my farthest I was 25 min away, so I've always been close. And truth be told, in my first couple of years of being indie, it didn't hurt to have parental means of support close by. Free laundry and Sunday dinners FTW. By the same token, I'd have been beside myself if my mom's final year of illness had been while I was still working in NYC.
