This is a special and unusual show and deserves your support. Only places like FMU could allow for this kind of continually evolving audio art which is actually broadcast.

OctopusES - reportedly smart as dogs, w/out a backbone...as said, have single nerves that go thru body - squids do camouflage to shame chameleons - such nerves allow quick changes...

Hi, DJs. I like this show; it's so mysterious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm
tom from Glasgow:

that's true what Adriene said about the Greek root, but that does also open the possibility of "OCTOPODES" which is also a legit plural form
Avatar 6:37pm
Chud:

This is amazing
Avatar 6:37pm
TDK60:

Sharon Van Etten is from Nutley. Annie Oakley lived there, as did Mark Twain one summer. And so did artist Michael Lenson. I think ex-WFMU DJ Bob Brainen lives there.

Ken From Hyde Park:

On Pi Day, they should agree to be octopi.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm
ultradamno:

There is no collective name for a group of octopuses (such as flock, school, etc), because they don't like hanging out together.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm
ultradamno:

Are we sure the correct plural isn't 'octopussies'? I mean, unless James Bond posters have been lying to me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm
melinda:

Haunting combination.
Avatar 6:54pm

I love cephalopods, I normally eat non-octopus...

(say so much)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm
aratuk:

I think the correct Greek plural of 'octopus' would be 'octopodes', but no one is going to say that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm
aratuk:

Oh, Tom beat me to it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm
ultradamno:

According to Jiro Dreams of Sushi, hardly anyone on Earth can properly prepare octopus anyway, so don't eat them.
  6:57pm
nutley:

Moby Octopad
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Imagine if octopus could be trained to pick up the plastic garbage that's floating around in the oceans. I suppose humans would then feel it's OK to dump more and more plastic, so there's a fatal flaw with that.
  6:58pm
nutley:

that's why octopi should be allowed to vote
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm

Missed it!
