Most so-called free form stations are kind of monotonous, playing a narrow range of "challenging" avant gard-ish music, the sort of thing that Laurie Anderson calls "difficult music". Here, we get pop, avant, the Old Noise, the Rawk, the blues and just about everything else -- mental catnip for a musical omnivore like me.
