The Soma and Social Media problem is that you can’t be happy or perfect all the time. Both of these are relative terms. If you’re always happy then happy becomes normal and normal is not happy. Happy is a special condition that is above/more preferable in that moment to normal. The same is true of perfect. It is impossible to be perfect all the time. The most we can do is get close. However on social media we are expected to be perfect constantly. If we are perfect constantly perfect becomes normal. If we then fail to be perfect we are failing to be normal. Worse, nothing in real life can actually meet that perfection because it’s impossible.

Brian seems like he went through a lot, but as the resident contrarian, I say that the worst thing tech has brought us nowadays is easy access to log, track and accumulate data.
Sorry, but I hope Brian is happen now, but I don’t agree with a luddite perspective.
