Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm
dale:

are people being chased by dinosaurs on a tropical island in this one?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm
Rich in Washington:

That's the second time across WFMU streams that someone's mentioned WPKN. I need to check it out! (not NOW, of course!).
  7:39pm
rich:

no dinosaurs in the previous one this is a caveman film though
Avatar 7:39pm
Linda Lee:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm

used to be the sounds of the future

:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm
Rich in Washington:

Everytime I hear that 'ping' sound, I think something's happening on my computer, so I guess it IS the music of the future, via 1970-something.
Avatar 7:44pm
Linda Lee:

i'm not sure i like anything better than future sounds of the past.
  7:47pm
JakeGould:

This whole “DJ fills in but the show stays the same” warps my brain.
Avatar 7:47pm
Linda Lee:

how does il Maestro always sound so good?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm
steveo:

Only listen to PKN when you're in Connecticut. It's the law of the pack.

Spurty:

@rich: Playlist says Tom Dash is filling in next week.

Great concluding show of Morricone birthday month Rich, thank you.
Avatar 7:52pm
Linda Lee:

yes! thank you Mr Hazelton! beautiful show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:53pm
melinda:

@Linda there are many other free form stations but unlike FMU they accept underwriting, so you could argue that they're less 'free'.
Avatar 7:54pm
Linda Lee:

yes. of course they are.
Avatar 7:54pm
Linda Lee:

i'm seeing at least 2 syndicated shows on their schedule, so they're paying out for those. that makes them less free too.
Avatar 7:56pm
Linda Lee:

might as well realize there is only one wfmu & we'd better do everything we can to make sure it survives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm
melinda:

@LL yeah. It took me a while to appreciate that FMU wasn't just a New Jersey version of my local college radio station (which is a great station).
Avatar 7:57pm
Linda Lee:

right. it really is a different animal that just about anything else we'll find on the dial.
Avatar 7:58pm
Devon E. Levins:

Amazing hour of music. Thx so much, Rich!
Avatar 7:59pm
Linda Lee:
