Ugh, six years ago, someone once wouldn't post a link to a website I administered but would only post a link to a mainstream site, because he said he was concerned my site would wind up going offline. I administer some of the longest-running websites on the internet. (Indeed, that site he linked to has since gone down, and the one I put up is still up.)

People get 8 megapixel lenses on their cameras and then when you send the photo it gets automatically compressed to 60k and also so many photos that nobody ever has time to look at most of them except scrolling by in gallery view before the phone is dropped and they're all lost (or the opposite, Google finally leaks all their stuff and your whole life history is laid bare for the rest of your life). Funny choices people are making.
