Venice appears to be severely flooded this week

Hi Thatch! Nice to hear you.

Beasts of Satan into Rota isn't a transition you get on just any station.

I always say!:
...'Young Frankenstein' may not be a profound movie
...but it is a perfect movie!!...

Sea level rise + Venice slowly settling into the mud = many, many Acqua Altas.

I loved the score to Upstream Color. I need to watch that film again, too.
Avatar 7:21pm
Trick-or-Trick:

Love for "Young Frankenstein",(horse whinny).

Rich in Washington:

I had the weird experience of walking in the middle of the movie, my wife going 'you HAVE to watch this. It's crazy', and then we watched it together from the beginning because she wanted to figure out the stuff she missed. It made it a bit weirder, I think.

Young Frank hit me @ just the right adolescent age too...
& Frankenstein is 200 this year...

Mel Brooks is a genius, IMHO.

"What Shall We Do With a Drunken Sailor" was used in the movie of "Seconds", which I saw at the Whitestone Drive-In with my parents. Mother said she used to sing that while bathing me in the kitchen sink.

"Seconds" was alluded to thematically and via a little shot-for-shot in my friend's TV serial "Lost".

OK, my fellow commenters, just gonna toss this out to see what happens. What's your favorite horror movie soundtrack/theme?

@Richard S: it's probably Ennio Morricone's Magic and Ecstasy from Exorcist 2: The Heretic. My 2nd is Experiment in Terror by Mancini.
  7:31pm
Listener Robert:

My favorite has to be that of "Halloween", which I first heard as the mood music in the ABC Sports documentary of the bicycle Race Across America.

Next to that, I guess that to "Cannibal Holocaust", which I still haven't seen but got played here last night and which is used as the opening theme music for the excellent weekly streamed program "Fright Day" that I listen to on the Dark Matter Digital Network.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm

My favorite: Find a stranger in the alps
Avatar 7:35pm

I find myself humming the theme from "Psycho" when I get stressed out at work....(grin)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm

Goblin's Suspiria score is really good too. But the Shining soundtrack is also excellent, but criminally out of print.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm

Tubular Bells is good.

The whole Psycho score is really good.

this Conversation theme music is so hitting the right spot for me right now .. (beside reminding me how much I loved it when watching the movie)
  7:38pm
Listener Robert:

Have you heard Neil Cicierega's hilarious mashup of the "Pscyho" theme with "Love Shack", "Love Psych"? Play it for somebody by surprise and if they're familiar with "Psycho" they should LOL when, a few measures in, it becomes apparent that's part of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

The Psycho strings influenced 'Eleanor Rigby'...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm

@leylou I don't remember it from the movie but I love it too
